• I meant to post back to say after 2 days the money was back in my account :D So they do keep their promises if you call and request the money back.
• I found the small print!!!

I rang the number for VPrewards and got an automated response to cancel my membership, only to be charged again the next month. I rang again and got a person who said I would be refunded the two months, only to be charged again the next month. Then I rang again and was told I would be refunded three months worth. This month I got my statement and miracle, I have received a single credit of £9.95.

Better than nothing I think to myself, only it isn't, because I am on -£20 of nothing thanks to this scam. I know other people who have bought from vistaprint without a problem though, so I had another look through their website and this time spotted the loophole.

When you have bought from vistaprint and you get to the final confirmation page, there also pops ups a questionnaire 'Thank you for buying from vistaprint, fill out this questionnaire and get £10 cash back!!!' and in very small print it mentions that in a couple of months time they will start taking money from your account. Ok, so I must have missed it the first time, even though I am very careful. But surely a company should not be allowed to use your credit card details from purchasing one thing to subscribe you to something completely different without confirmation from yourself.

As noted on another thread, The Mirror covered a similar scheme in the paper today - Mirror story

Now may be a good time for anyone caught by Vistaprint to alert the Mirror to what they've been up to - they usually like following things up with similar scams IME. There's a contact us on the page linked to above.

I contacted Trading Standards in Worthing, West Sussex.
They are apparently under-staffed to deal with individual complaints.
So they go after the "big fish"

Some excellent advice by ‘Ric’ on the legal situation at

VistaPrint Limited is based in Hamilton, Bermuda. They operate in many countries through affiliates that they recruit and use.
Adaptive Affinity Ltd is such an affiliate and is a seperate legal entity. clubprem.com and Premier Club are only trading names that they use.
Adaptive Affinity Ltd is registered in the UK.
That is the address to use if you apply a County Court summons. Inexpensive and very easy to to do under the Small Claims procedure.

Here are the email addies of two of the directors of VistPrint

George Overholser
george.m.overholser@northhillventures.com

Daniel Ciporin
dciporin@canaan.com

A polite email with full details and asking for a full refund might help.

Horrified by the number of people this has happened to. When I first started in business I used Vista Print to do our business cards as money was tight and they were the cheap and cheerful option but I'll never be using them again. I wasn't overly happy with the quality (you get what you pay for I guess!) and then came the bank statements!

I never signed up to anything, never received any emails and yet found VPRewards taking £9.95 from my account (when it was in the black). I emailed them about it, requesting my Member ID and after almost 2 weeks they finally replied. I didn't request a refund as I figured I probably ticked something by accident.

However, I opened my bank statement today to find that now VPRewards is cancelled but ClubPrem has started taking £9.95 out of my account instead. Now I know I definitely did NOT sign up for this.

I emailed them, telling them that I had never signed up, again requesting my Member ID as I had never received any emails from them before and told them to get back to me ASAP so I could cancel my account.

I got the reply:
Your membership number is #####. You may access your benefits immediately online at https://www.clubprem.com We hope you continue to to enjoy the value and convenience of your Premier Club benefits.

What value? What convenience? What benefits? This is nothing but a scam, I've replied to them requesting a refund this time as I know it wasn't my error and will keep you posted on how I get on.

Ugh,
I have just been stung by them today. I called them and asked for my membership to be cancelled which they say they have done, but they point blank refuse to refund the money they stole from me. My bank said what they are doing is not illegal and lots of people have been stung this way. Most people give up getting their monay back, well not me i will fight them all the way.
The bank also advised me to call consumer direct on 08454040506
I will be ringing them to see what they say, I am fuming that they can do this and get away with it
