I feel this should be mentioned on Watchdog to warn everybody about the potential dangers of being subscribed to CLUBPREM.COM.

Watchdog have known about it for years, so you have to wonder why they haven't. As I mentioned, probably not entertaining enough for TV.

How about getting in touch with BBC Radio 4's You and Yours consumer programme. This is broadcast for an hour , five days a week. surely they would have time to fit this story in?

Apparently they already have talked about it so it doesn't look like it's made any difference to Vistaprint's practices or people's awareness of the "scam".

Maybe it's worth the people who've still fallen into it to contact You and Yours again for them to make a followup piece.

  • They have had me as well.

It is really easy to be taken in by these guys, and should be stopped, just wish Vistaprint could make enough money printing rather than scamming.

Rang the 0845 number and my membership has been cancelled, then asked for a refund and was told I would need to write to VP Rewards, PO Box 587, Edgware, HA8 4DX. Guess thay are going to make it difficult and hope I give up.

This is the email they sent me, a which I should have read completely, but didn't...

  • I just checked my credit card statement and i've had 2 x £9.95 payments taken out by vprewards.com in one month.

As with a lot of people i did not sign up for this and have called to cancel my "membership"

Im interested in having the payments refunded as it took me over my credit limit incurring a £12 charge and bad credit score.

  • Exactly the same thing happened to me!! the money has been coming out since November and I didn't notice till this month!!!

I called 0800 028 8251 and helpful girl told me she would cancel it for me and request a refund but told me if I wanted to call the refund people direct I should call 0845 672 2002.

I called them and said I had called the 0800 number and been given their number, told her I wasn't aware that I had signed up for anything and was upset that this money had been taken without my knowledge. Straight away she offered to credit me back with 2 months and said that was the best she could do.

I figured 2 months was better than nothing but thought I'd chance it anyway. I told her I had read countless forums where people were saying the exact same thing as me and that they had all been give a full refund so I wanted to know why I wasn't being offered the same. She said it was the best she could do but could I hold. Of course I said yes!

She put me on hold for hardly any time at all then came back and said I would see a full refund on my credit card in 10 working days!!! :T (Fingers crossed it actually happens)

Good luck to everyone else and remember to let them know of the different forums of people who have had a full refund :)

Has anyone tried contacting their local trading standards?

Our consumer legislation is completely useless if it cannot stop this sort of 'con' I believe. Clearly from the length and calendar time of this thread, the perpetrators of this scam will be well aware that we are talking about their tactics, but since any publicity is good publicity they will continue until someone calls halt.

Thanks very much for this thread! I was looking at VistaPrint recently for some new business cards. I'll steer clear now.

    Much appreciated!!!
