htc hero offers UPDATED £22 P/M reduced offers t-mobile

While we are talking about the HEro:

Does anyone still have problems with the reception? I am still missing a couple of calls and the notofication comes sometimes hours later... although I am having coverage.

Mind you, I never had this problem before with any other phone!

@ mishk... I have read a few comments on the phone being slow... I think the issued a software update that fixed this. Do you know if yours is the updated version (I have no idea how you would check) and if you think the phone is slow or if its ok?

Just been on the phone to T-Mobile and the woman on the phone said there is no way she could get anywhere near that deal.
She was insistant that the deals people have been getting must be loyalty deals or from a third party

Hi,

i have the latest software, updated it myslef. Its not as bad as it was before, though still far from being perfect!

Mind you, thats the only problem I have with this phone.

Ok, just got through to someone who was quite helpful.
He has offered me:-

Free T-Mobile G2
800 mins
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Internet

for £25 a month.

He was also talking about the 10% discount people have been getting on top (i.e.. £22.50), reducing the internet package you would receive. I am assuming this isn't true but just thought I would check with people to clarify that they were still getting unlimited internet

doesnt seem right to me - unless he is quoting you before VAT ? get this checked out first of all certainly not £25 with internet including VAT

The web (mainly here and HUKD) is full of people who have had the deal that spuddyboy has posted....

So unless everyone else is lying then either a) you don't really work for t-mobile of b) you do work for them but don't know what you are talking about... (as quite a few t-mobile staff dont if the pot luck getting this deal is anything to go by).

i do indeed work for t-mobile and this is not an offer i a familiar off at all? - 800 minutes + Unlimited Texts + unlimited internet + g2 free for £22.50pm icl VAT? // i will be sure to look into this offer on my next working day. i would this the offer stated should be, with the correct w'n'w applied is £26pm?

To anybody who has updated their Hero with the latest ROM from the HTC website ... can I do it direct to the phone using my home broadband wi-fi connection or does it have to be done connected directly to my pc?

only asking as my pc is rather old and slow and my Hero surfs the net a hundred times faster than my pc lol.
