exactly like that, they told me they couldnt match anything other than their own website, however she told me they could waiver the normal handset fee so think this is how they got round it, i spoke to 3 women in the end, blair, robin and ? joanne maybe. doesnt matter anyway as they dont allow you to speak to another person they just take over themselves.

I got A phone this afternoon. Not the G2 touch I asked for. Instead I was sent the htc Touch2 running Windows Mobile. (Why are they named so similarly?)

I rang them up, and they confirmed that my order was taken correctly, ie they took an order for the Hero, but there was a cockup in the delivery where I was sent the wrong one. They however informed me that I would need to send the phone back whereupon my contract would be terminated. I would then have to re-apply for the contract, hitting my credit file yet again, and with no guarantee I'd be offered the same tariff at the same price. I asked if they could just send out the Hero and I would return the Touch2.... Computer says no!

I HIT THE ROOF!!!

I told the lady that I was disgusted, and wanted to speak to a manager. She then disappeared for a few minutes... tum tee tum tum. When she returned, she told me that the manager was "in a good mood" and was prepared to authorise a Hero to be dispatched on Saturday, keeping my contract. I was also given 21 days to return the wrong handset and credited £5 to cover the postage costs.

Not overly pleased with my first brushing with T-Mobile. But once I get my Hero, I'll be a happy little boy. Let's hope that none of you guys have this problem.

I've got an HTC Hero and it is stunning, I dont want an i-Phone and had the HTC Touch Diamond before this so It seemed the right way to go.

Some of the videos on YouTube convinced me, just make sure to install the new FAST rom before you start (if it needs it).

My own personal advice is . . . dont buy from Mobiles.co.uk (unless you have the patience of a saint and a good lawyer).

Hi im currently on t mobile and looking to upgrade im also after the htc g2 did you get this phone on an upgrade or new contract? as i have tried and tried with them even to the point where there have sent me my pac code lol around 10 phone calls later but the wont budge from £30 but i cant only afford £25, can someone tell me where i may be going wrong?:rolleyes:

Wow that is an excellent deal congrats. I'm quite wary about going with T-Mobile, cuz of their network strength. Were you an existing customer or a new one?

Would anyone know if the T-Mobile network is pretty good around the greater London area, and if it doesn't disappear as soon as you enter indoors?

Got mine coming on tuesday only took one phone call to sales office they went from 30 pounds to 27 down to 25 for the phone 800 mins ulimeted text and internet on an 18 month so im chuffed cheers for the info peoples:beer:

well ive had my phone 2 days now and its pretty much only left my hands for essentials and sleep !!

the technology is outstanding and the only 2 things i cant figure out is how to get my text messages to show in the format im used to of sent/inbox/draft etc and also how to bluetooth items off my old phone and onto this one, well worth the hassle of the last few days. Now i have to go do battle with three to cancel my old phone !
