What are you suggesting? Anarchy on todays highways or the locking up of every banned driver to stop them getting behind the wheel as you would otherwise do???
I don't think HE or any other sensible driver would get behind the wheel, but some bloodywell do:mad::mad:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Anybody that manages to rack up 12 points deserves all they get, they are a menace on the roads, nice to see another one banned.
And a £600+ fine and a ban is disproportionate and disgusting.
Burglars & proper criminals etc get a fraction of that.
It's all about fleecing the motorist.0 -
Erm, idiot, you have no idea how he drives, you can't even say he's a bad driver nevermind a menace, a perfectly safe driver can accumulate 12 points if they are unlucky but drive a lot. After all England is full of police or cameras waiting to catch the ordinary decent motorist out for stupid things e.g. 5mph over on a straight wide road, it happens all the time, when you think the amount of cameras and police that are out there targeting the motorist - you can't drive more than 5 minutes without passing a camera - then you realise getting done 4 times in 3 years is pretty easy if you drive a lot.

I don't think there is much unlucky about being caught breaking the law.0 -
Racking up 12 points is not a way to judge somebodies driving IMHO.
Don't agree with this one bit. I'm a good driver, both on the road and track. Driving is one of my hobbies, I have an advanced licence which is marked on road based scenarios and the application of theory from "roadcraft" and I hold a current Motor sport association MSA racing licence for the track.
Not blowing my trumpet but trying to show I'm a safe, competent skilled driver like many others on here.
If the above's true why don't I have any points? Why do I manage to keep an idea of exactly how fast im going and the limit of the road in my concience? I can understand how it can happen on the odd occasion and get 3 mabe even 6 points but if you're a good driver, you know the speed of the road, you know the sign you just passed, you know when you last checked your tyres and lights there really is no excuse for that many points.0 -

I can, and I did, and I stand by what I said.
Only an " idiot " would suggest otherwise.:rolleyes:0 -
You can't moron.
For one thing it's possible to get 12 points without even DRIVING the car, by committing some offences E.g.:
Registered keeper only, and failing to name the driver at the time an offence was allegedly committed.
Drunk in charge (simply standing next to the parked car with the keys).
You are making stupid assumptions on a person's driving skills based on the number of points they have and nothing else. Very simple minded indeed.0
