I'm pointing out that many advanced drivers (except pendulum of course, if he's taken the course yet!) will openly discuss that they can spot certain advanced techniques of fellow ads. A main part of this forum, before pendulum got a little silly was regarding his not believing me that it is possible.
I'm glad you agree you know what to look for too..... however basic principles smoothness, control and speed are. I tend to look for the application of the principle parts of the system and drivers who are not affraid to do something different or against what all of the other drivers are doing in the correct place. Also well excecuted gear changes in the correct position. You can often see the car lurch when the revs aren't mached by other drivers.
Can't recall if this was mentioned on the pistonheads link, but the one that I allways try to observe, when turning right, (esp) or even left, just after a bend, make sure you are signalling well before you dissapear round the bend before the turn:eek::eek::eek:
And the golden rule that covers the lot, if we all followed this posts like this would not be needed;
Drive at a speed such that you can stop within the distance you can see to be clear. That's not a quote, that is embedded in my driving knowledgeI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

Exactly. Its little points like that that would make everyone a better driver, regardless of advanced driving courses. Converging verges is another good one on open road driving.0 -

It will be all academic when Brake and the other "Road Safety" charities fulfill their mission and have the pre 1930 status quo restored ie: a maximum speed limit of 20 mph on all roads including motorways. The OP needs legal advice pdq, but at this late stage I fear there is little that can be done.0
