There's a distinct difference between 'brand' and 'designer' - the 2 don't necessarily go hand in hand, especially nowadays.

Why would you want a 'brand' if it isn't exclusive? To look like everyone else? It's no guarantee of quality these days and all you're doing is paying to wear an advert
Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

But are these 'exclusive' frames designer? Are they well known brands?

Designers include Morgan and Goldigga

you can get a free eye test at Tesco for February - simply use the voucher in the in store magazine..
  • I went to Asda at Minworth Birmingham.
Little of my history - wearing contacts for 20 years, now gone to varifocal ones. Old opticians kept changing hands and service was getting worse and prices going up. Last year I had treatment for a tumour in the back of my left eye so my vision went haywire and was wary of going to a supermarket for an eye test . Was Asda an in-out shop and not caring???
I got there on time and was seen almost immediately - my eyes were checked in various ways by some hi-tech kit (ie: seen at Wolverhampton Eye Hostpital) and was asked to sit outside until I was ready for my formal vision test.
5 mins later the optician came out and so SOOO apologetic for being late (5 mins!!!!!!! - such politeness). I explained my treatment from last year and he talked me through it. He went through my eye test and took his time with me - refering to the effect everything had on my eye. After 20 mins it was finished and I was given a card with my perscription on. I asked about varifocus glasses - he explained the pros and cons and asked me to consider the options .
At NO point was there any pressure to buy there and then or even from Asda (I was expecting some pressure and was disappointed when no pressure came).
I was shown the range of glasses and eventually decided on varifocus with reactalight glass (as my eye has become sensitive to bright sunlight). I was then asked if I wanted another pair of normal glasses for £20 as it was part of their deal. I nealy took his hand off so I asked for some reading glasses.
Total price £175. Price for just varifocus from my old optician would have been at least £200.
I just can't believe how professional everyone at Asda at Minworth was and the price is outstanding.
It's worth going just for the eye test as the optician is about the nicest and politest person I've encountered when going "shopping".
    Asda - well done!!!!

Had my my Eye test today at ASDA Cardiff. - Awesome service, they were quick were more thorough than Specsavers and had more equipment, never had the puff test before, kept jumping 6 foot each time LoL.

I got the exact same pair of frameless specs, well 2 pairs for £90, whcih cost me over £200 at Specsavers 4 years ago! i even got the transistions on one pair whcih was £30 extra, but well worth it!

    Overall it's a no brainer!

Thanks to all that have replied on here - another satisfied customer. Well not picked them up yet but i have faith :)

The brands have been listed several times on this thread - it doesn't take long to flick through the pages.
