    update....

I called Asda opticians in Dagenham and Isle of dogs, they both said that Beckton was incorrect and that the price includes the 1.67 for the -5.5 prescription.

So i went down to Isle of Dogs, ordered the two pairs that I initially chose and got light reactive in one all for £120!!! Sweet

Also called up Asda Head office and informed them of the misselling(sp?) at Beckton and they are going to look into it.

You will get free eye tests if your vision is very poor. I get free tests and I am -9.50 both eyes. You need to ask your optician as in my experience they will not tell you. You also get a small NHS voucher - mine was £13 towards complex lenses which is thin lenses. Essential with this type of prescription. Wish we had an Asda opticians here in NI as I thought had done well with my glasses at £260 from Vision Express. Normally that type of lens alone is £250 minimum. How much are their monthly contacts. I need toric as have very bad astigmatism

Exclusive, high quality frames and not mass produced in the Far East with a label stamped on under license.

BTW, you only qualify for an NHS complex prescription test and voucher if your prescription is greater than 10.00D sphere or 6.00 cyl.

  • I went to the Swindon Asda today to check this offer and seems like they have it £70 for pair and £90 for 2 pairs.

Price includes frames and lenses, even with high index 1.7 up to -9.00.
    After that it's £40 extra.

Still this is absolutely amazing how cheap it is!

But are these 'exclusive' frames designer? Are they well known brands?
