Partner got no common sense

He was working in a envirament where it was inportant he didn't disclose anything about hisself or treat any of the people he was dealing with as friends.he could have left hisself open to intimandation and me.He just dosn't seem to have any sense it's always been the same
My guess he was a prison officer and took into the prison a 'banned' item for a prsioner who had 'groomed' him............
if this is the case it is gross miscounduct and he was sacked, and yes if this is the case he is going to sadly struggle to get another job.
I would suggest you look at the money you do have coming in, and see what you can cut to make ends meet.

Although I don't necessarily disagree with what you're saying, the OP doesn't say she's married and actually uses the term "partner" , which implies otherwise.Whitewillow wrote: »Youre married, you need to stick together0 -

sorry, i got the impression they were married, however, even if they are not they are living as a couple, so commonlaw isnt a million miles away? They are both still responsible for bills and such? Or are your bills seperate?10k in 2010 - £350.77 :beer:0 -

Yes he's a idiot this is where the no common sense comes in he has lost a job over somebody he got to involved with he felt he was basically a good person underneath and took in treats apparantly this was a practice that others did as well but he got cault also i think he was to chatty and was over heard giving personal info which was totally stupid ,in the eyes of his employer hge was leaving hisself open to blackmail0 -

no thats what i was meaning, sorry again about saying you were married, but eventhough you arent, if everything is in joint then you are living as if you are. If hes taken in items, and not just opened his big mouth and said too much then like others i think its deeper than your original post implies.
I know it will be hard this month, to save money on service for the car are you able to do it yourselves? Most cars are really not that difficult, but you obviously wont be able to get a stamp in the book then.
I can only sympathise with you, it must make it harder that he is actually so nice in other ways! hugs!10k in 2010 - £350.77 :beer:0 -

OP
Perhaps you're being a bit hard on him?
From what you've posted, he sounds like a warm, caring, compassionate person - and probably not cut out for the job he was doing. If he found it difficult to do a job that required him to hold back on compassion - albeit for sound reasons - that sounds like a decent bloke to me
