Same thing happened to me, except I left the payment to be made the following month. FWIW this has now all been corrected, interest and late payment fees have been refunded.Stompa0 -
Hi i was wondering if anyone can help me?
I got a credit card with GE Money as Martin's article advised that this was a good cashback card unfortunatly they have lost two of my payments and are being very uncooperative in getting the matter resolved.

I have provided all the info they asked for including a letter from my ba:mad: nk sayin that they have recieved the money all to no avail.
Has anyone else had trouble with them or a similar stitation/advice for me?

It is actually their card activation line, but they have always answered my queries whenever I have used it to call them.
Tried this but it kept cutting me off saying ''for customer service calls, call the number on the bottom of your card/statement'' and yep you've guessed it that the 0870 number.

https://www.saynoto0870.com gives 0208 181 0000 as an alternative number (as does an earlier post in this thread). Not tried it myself though.Stompa0 -
LeifGR wrote:I also received my statement today and have the same situation as Welliesorter and Kazza - 3% on everything, all the cashback "credited" and zero as "carried forward". The amount that on last month's statement was "carried forward" is "opening balance" on this month's statement. The only logical explanation is that they are paying out the cashback against next month's statement.
Me too. Just had my 17th August statement which tallys with what everyone else has said. Why would they credit it against our next month's statement though when it clearly says, a cheque will go out twice a year0 -
I am only using mine for Petrol and food. and use a Morgan Stanley 1% cash back fro every thing else.
I got a 5p off a lt petrol voucher out of Sainsburys the other day. Used my GE 3% on the spend and Nector card went to the pumps it was already 5p cheeeper than BP plus 5p off plus 3% cash back plus triple Nector points.

...to order a second card for 'Er Indoors. Worked fine.“When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around.

Did you have anything that had changed on your credit history that made you more confident of an acceptance - after all the previous search would likely have been held against you even if they didn't notice it was for GE.
I applied and was refused. I pay two other cards off each month and pay the minimum each month on a zero % transfer on third. And I'm 68.
Thinks. My wife is younger (61) and is therefore less responsible :-) and has no credit cards in her name, and her income is less than mine, so someone at a desk at GE may assume her likely to run up debts if she has a card. We applied for a GE card for her - and has been accepted. She'll request a second card for me:-)To do is to be (Jean Jaques Rousseau)

Just received my pin and will hopefully get the card in the next few days.
I've always used a debit card for my daily transactions so be easy on me if this is a stupid question.
If I use the card for my weekly shop....say £50.....and in the same transaction get cash.....say £30.....will this show up as 1 transaction or 2?..... will I get cash back on the entire £80 or just the £50?......will I get charged interest on the £30 straight away as its a cash withdrawl or will it be treated as a purchase?
Thanks in advance0 -
You cant get cashback on credit cards as far as I am aware.0
