Thanks, I'd already checked there, hence my question!Stompa0 -
My pin arrived about 10 days after online acceptance. Got the card a week later. DD for monthly balance set up too.
Good luck to you other applicants.0 -
I was accepted for the card, PIN arrived in the the same post as the card which is not ideal for security but otherwise all was OK. Decent credit limit, £4k initially and instantly increased to £6k when I called to activate (never had that happen before).
I have bought some food using the card at Sainsbury's and Asda. However when I tried to buy petrol at Adsa using the machine in the automated "Fast Lane" the card was refused with a message like "Sale Cancelled - Use Kiosk". It was far too busy to re-position my car to the kiosk, so I don't know whether it would have been accepted there. I paid on another card instead, but it cost me £1.50 in lost cashback.
Has anyone got any idea why the card was not accepted? Is this likely to be a one-off, or are there certain places where this card is not accepted.0 -
I applied for mine a week ago online...was sent an e-mail saying I'd have an answer within two hours...several days later and I'm still waiting!
When I phoned them, they were unable to help as the call centre only deals with fresh applications.
I take it this is normal?0 -
Has anyone that goe rejected and appealed, heard anything yet?0

My limit was £4K raised to £6K as well.
Haven't used it yet as I messed up the PIN. Should have a replacement by Saturday.
It's a Mastercard, so should be accepted if the Mastercard sign is displayed. Why didn't you fill up and use the card manually in the kiosk? I'll try mine as soon as I can and will let you know how I get on. If they refuse it after I've filled up I won't be offering an alternative card.

I got a much better result by replying to their holding email rather than phoning.

A day or so later I received a number of phone calls from Lloyds TSB's annoying powerdialler: annoying because it kept leaving partial messages on my voicemail. I eventually realised who it was and called them back. I was immediately connected to the bank's fraud department and asked whether the supermarket transactions had been genuine. The person answering thought they'd been flagged as suspicious because there were two payments in similar stores, both late at night.
If you get any further problems, you'll need to contact GE and ask why. Maybe if you'd used the kiosk, they'd have given you the opportunity to contact GE and verify your identity. This has also happened to me in the past.
Returning to the time taken to receive the card: my application was accepted on Monday of last week. I received the PIN yesterday and the card today, so that's nine days for one and ten for the other.0
