I applied last night at about 5.30pm. I had an email sent within about 2 hours saying I would hear on the next working day.
Just checked my email and they have confirmed I have been accepted for one, so I wonder if they are working weekends to clear the back log?MFIT No. 810 -
Been using my card for over a week now. HAve got the confirmation letter that the direct debit is set up to clear the total balance every month.
Interesting reading about how some people got rejected.
I spent £20k on my Citi card over the past year and cleared the full amount every month. Earnt a nice £200 cash back +++THANKS MARTIN++++
Now splitting using it between citi and GE.
Wife's pin arrived today nut could not read the 2nd and 3rd digit.
I did an online application for my 70year old mum and she's been approved.

I got rejected within a few hours of applying, strange as I've not had any trouble before & am in a much better position now than over the last few years.
I have only been buying my house for the last 11 months though I was renting before that so I guess that may go against me.
looks like I'll be sticking to my 1% cashback card at the mo.

When you say 'Citi card', is this a Citibank card that offers (1%?) cashback? If so, is it still available?

Gotta say thanks to Martin .. that was easy .. applied, email in a couple of hours, PIN a couple of days later .. card the day after that .. phone 0800 to activate and order extra card for DW (who received her PIN yesterday .. still awaiting her card)
The only bit of the jigsaw missing is what constitutes food and petrol (I was sort of expecting a list of allowed stores etc. .. guess I will see when first statement arrives)

How long are others' cards taking to arrive? I'm wondering whether to hold off on a big supermarket shop!0 -
Hi All,
GE's idea of three days for the PIN is at very least a week, (in my case) and a good five or so days then for the card!
Even my replacement PIN, after I inadvertantly damaged the original took over a week to arrive!
All fine and working now though!
Cheers

My pin took about a week, then I received the actual card the day after.0
