When phone sales are made by a one of the utility companies (ie gas, electricity, telecommunications etc), the agreement reached must be put in writing and sent to the consumer, who should be given a defined cooling off period.0

The proposal to end cheques in a few years without having a replacement paper option as yet will make life difficult, if not impossible, for numerous individuals and lots of small clubs. Please stop this very worrying proposal that may suit the banks but not a lot of their customers.0

Utilities etc. send notices of price changes and show what the new charge will be assuming the same rate of usage. They should also show the current charge and % change, so you don't have to search all your old bills to work it out yourself.0

UK students wanting to study abroad cannot get government student loans, so either have to cancel plans or get commercial loans at exorbitant rates.
They should be offered student loans at reasonable rates, on condition that they return to UK and attempt to create a business in an 'incubator' environment.0 -
A bus pass for OAP's or a driving licence...but not both. Clear a few cars off the road.0

My boyfriend banks with Lloyds TSB. He had a direct debit of around £250 coming out that he did not have enough money for in his account. Without any contact, the bank approved an unauthorised overdraft and charged him and then bounced the payment anyway as the overdraft exceeded £250 approval! He was about £10 overdrawn at the time!! Double whammy which is wrong. He was charged around £40 - £50. This shouldn't be allowed. The bank should only do one or the other and shouldn't take the liberty to give you an unauthorised overdraft allowing you get further into debt.0

Charge prisoners for the expense it costs the state for their stay in prison. They may think twice if they still have to pay after they have done thier time and they are free to go and reoffend. We have to pay council tax and pay for our own food, they dont.0

In order for this country to get back on its feet financially, so that it ease the pressures on all the people of this great country. Why can we not adopt the same principle as the country Turkey.
When you visit this country from another country you have to pay a £10 fee per person at the airport on entry.
If we were to do this at our airports, just think how much revenue we would make. This would certainly help our economy. Even if we charged £5 it would help. Then the people of this country would not be having to pay for the mistakes of some of our previous PM's and MP's. Then we would all be :j:)0 -
Why not use fingerprints for ID instead of National Insurance Numbers, People only have one set of fingerprints thus only one claim per individual. It would simplify benefit crosschecking and stop fraud on a massive scale.0

Ensure ISA providers pay at least their highest non-ISA interest rates on their cash ISAs. Too many pay a much lower rate on a cash ISA than they do on their non-ISA accounts thus 'stealing' the tax advantages from the consumer.digital0
