Gas and Electricity companies evade competitive comparisons through complex tariff systems. Make all utility companies set their lowest tariff on the first units used.
The number of units in the low tariff zone should be set to reflect average domestic use.
We don't accept complex pricing on petrol.0 -
Insolvency Practitioners must be regulated by 1 governing body
Insolvency practitioners in scotland pre 2008 rules must be regulated efficiently. These are getting away with taking money from the vulnerable including benefits. This must stop as they profitering from goverment money. They do not follow legal rules they work round them. Eg My fees are 12,700 for no work on his part......0 -
I work for the local library and can't believe how many outstanding fines are not pursued, over £250,000 in Essex alone. Imagine the total for the whole of the UK. With local libraries closing down and the impact this will have on the local community. The Government/ Local Education Authority need to address this and ensure that new members to the library have to provide 2 forms of ID before they are allowed to join. At the moment no ID is required and no checks are ever made, this allows any member to take up to 14 DVDS or CDs out at any time - needless to say a lot of these disappear as the system is continually abused.
What a waste of taxpayers money!0 -
Some people can have far higher incomes than their needs, whilst others in jobs on minimum wages will not have enough to live on despite working many hours. The higher rate tax payers benefit from having the services of lower rate tax payers at a cheaper price than could otherwise be the case.0

Legally limit the bhp of the vehicle an inexperienced driver can use – similar to motorbikes. Simple to police – if a certain aged driver is in a certain car then they must be illegally driving it.
The excessive insurance premiums charged at the moment only encourages insurance evasion & thus higher premiums for all.0 -
Peter Zed: Conversely, if the higher income earner is able to retain a higher net income, then they would be more willing, and have more funds to pay a higher rate for "their services" and thus increase the people supplying the service. As the taxation system stands, their is NO incentive to succeed. And how do you determine whether people have far higher income than their needs. If you adopt this stance then we will have to impose regional pay bands for the disparity in regional living costs which is huge even in a small country as the UK.0

I know government is meant to be looking into this but surely it´s a no-brainer - split up casino and high street banking, then the former can do and pay what they want - taxpayer can´t lose0

CIVIL SERVANTS:
Offer early retirement to Civil Servants over 50 with no Lump Sum. Pension to start immediately.
Would save a fortune as quite a few would be eligible and take advantage while others would still work on to pay for childrens education.0 -
Holiday Companies should not be allowed to double prices of holidays throughout childrens holidays. All this does is encourage people to take holidays in term time. This should be regulated0

Holiday companies/airlines have been getting away with this for years it has to stop!0
