foster carers are employed by foster agencies as self employed .The law states that a foster carers can only be registered with only one fostering agency at any one time. to save money why can't the carers promote them selves and cut out the middle man to help a child in need

we at this moment have two free beds and the agency we work for can not fill them .but there are thousands of children in need of a long term loving home

can anyone help with this any ideas

18185 have a great facility where they announce the cost per minute and any connection fee before connecting you this should be made compulsory for all call carriers so users can make informed choices around call costs.

The use of pre-paid cards is growing enormously yet these cards offer no protection under the FSCS. The funds on these cards should be protected as a matter of urgency.

Simply making it compulsory to display an items size on the till receipt would mean you could easily compare prices at other stores, e.g. Cheese 350g £2.00 would mean you could compare like with like

In online banking banks should show the Actual Account Balance and the Available Balance after uncleared cheques and Authorised Debit Card Transactions are Deducted. My own bank show both BUT the Available balance only reflects uncleared cheques not authorised debit card transactions, risking inadvertently going overdrawn even after checking the account online, I have to go to a cash machine or call phone banking to get the correct available balance and even after raising this with them they just say "we have no obligation to show the correct available balance".

All CC providers who accept payment by DD should allow a fixed monthly payment amount in addition to the standard options of minimum and full balance payments, so you can actually make headway in reducing your balance.

Statement dates should also be on fixed dates in the month some card providers (mbna spring to mind) were issuing statements on different dates (varying by around 7 days) meaning paying by standing order on a fixed date sometimes arrived on time and sometimes arrivedlate incurring fees.

Tuition fees for non-UK students should be much higher than for UK students and UK students should get priority. Scrap high-cost advertising/PR by universities.
Tuition fees for non-UK students are already much higher than for UK students.
  • Make it mandatory for employers to give you the option of getting paid monthly. I am paid four weekly and it can be a nightmare balancing this payment which is on a different day each month with all of my bills / direct debits which all come out monthly.
I saw a light at the end of the tunnel - but it was just a guy with a torch bringing me more work...
  • JSA has a disability premium. The Assessment Phase of ESA (for sick and DISABLED people) does not. That means that for the first thirteen weeks, ESA claimants are worse off.... even though the basic rates are similar. JSA claimants get an extra £30 ish (a week? a fortnight? this is one of those closely guarded secrets that is impossible to find on directgov). :(
