To help reduce turning back the clocked mileage on cars, make it compulsory to note the mileage at stated times.
Whenever a car is sold/bought; has an MOT; insurance is renewed; the mileage must be noted on a log and sent to the DVLA.0 -
Buses, trains & trams &c., just add a few pounds to Income Tax to finance it, & this might help take many vehicles off the overcrowded roads & alleviate the problems facing commuters.
Already in Scotland bus travel for over 60s is free on production of a card so it should not be terribly difficult to organise.

Just because I am surrounded by FOOLS does not make me wise. :j0 -
Encourage don't punish customer loyalty:
- All special offers must be open to existing as well as new customers.
- Renewal quotes must include the best 10 quotes from the open market, even if the supplier can't price-match their competitors.
- Supplier must proactively offer the best value / most appropriate tariff / product / service available to the customer.
- Customers must be informed - verbally and in writing - if charges may be incurred with ample time to discuss / dispute the charge and they must agree to the charge before it can be applied.0 -
Rather than Government taxing the banks, which customers will ultimately pay, force the banks to refund all charges for the past years, as per the pre court case refund system. then enforce fair charging regulations on the banks
This would pump much needed money into the economy, benefiting everyone.0 -
Please introduce legislation to ensure advertising is honest. In particular, outlaw overtly deceptive headlines, like "YOU ARE A GUARANTEED WINNER OF £150,000" with a mini almost unreadable proviso at some remote place, designed not to be seen, saying "if you return the winning number" or similar deceptions.0

Badges should be renewed, not re-applied for, at 3 year intervals, with no more hassle than the driving licence renewal.0

6 years is too long! In the current economic climate, many people have defaults etc on their credit files. The impact this has on someone trying to rebuild their life is catastrophic. It is impossible to get a mortgage with a poor credit rating. It should be just 3 years before all information is wiped from your file. Give us a chance! Most people spend less time in prison. These companies have too much power to put marks on your file, it's disgraceful.0

All energy companies should automatically offer the cheapest tarriff avaliable instead of making us hunt for it.... train companies have to offer the cheapest fare why not every service?0
-
With all the problems on the roads lately, I think we should do something about the trains. It would be much cheaper than sorting the road problem out and would give people an alternative method of transport that you can rely on.0

Credit card companies etc have too much power - even if you are disputing a payment - late payment etc they put it on your credit file and there's nothing you can do about it. It's a very unfair system for the customer.0
