  • I agree 100%. Nobody can avoid paying, bigger cars pay more and foreign drivers will also have to contribute. We will also save a fortune in enforcement action.

Community service for long term unemployed. If this was run properly some of the participants might be able to earn a little more benefits than the people who think they are escaping employment by claiming benefits. It may even give them experience/confidence to apply for a job.

make unemployed earn their unemployment benefit, doing jobs for oap's, clearing snow from pavements, keeping area's clean

Compile a central database for customer feedback on every company’s service or product. Unlike the Ebay system this would be submitted completely anonymously and after the warranty has expired (e.g. via an Email reminder) so an unbiased and fair assessment could be made in return for a cashback incentive.

Liquidators can charge every time a creditor contacts them for an update but can go for unlimited periods without offering any info (even that there is no change) even via website. They should have to at least update website every 3 months to prevent money owed to creditors being swallowed by liquidator charges brought about by failure to communicate.
  • We have had no rubbish collection for 2 weeks and our road is never salted and gritted even though it is a bus route. I propose we should be able to withold/claim back for refund on council tax where services have not been delivered. Also hold councils more accountable and a more transparent complaints procedure
  • The Government needs to alter the rules so that pensions can be moved between providers after they are being paid. This would enable pensioners to maximise their income and ensure pension providers keep annuities competitive in the current market.
  • Stop charities and companies approaching people with their pathetic little clip boards badgering them for money when they are trying to shop or walk down a high street. I consider this harassment.
  • Too often, there is an assumption by companies that we are happy for our details to be used for marketing purposes. Sometimes we have to tick a box to opt but there are times where we have to contact the company in question to opt out! There should be a law so that we are opted out by default and have to explicitly opt in to receive marketing.

Premium rate helplines are inaccessible to people who do not have access to a landline. The majority of people opt for mobile phone usage, profit should not be made from public needing to contact essential services. A land line should always be given as an option.
These nos should be banned on all Govt services & Agencies(DVLA etc.). Likewise utilities. A simple instruction given the force of an Act of Parliament with penalties for non compliance! Freephone Nos should be just that from any phone system in uk
  • How many trafic jams are caused by this? A 5 mile tailback for a car changing tyre on the hard shoulder or an unattended burnt out car. Get the police to put covers over cars and attend crash scenes to wave people on. Put radar checks on cars and prosecute where people slow down too much.
