  • Stop an individual’s right to sue the NHS, use money to treat more patients. If something goes wrong only complaints to an independent government agency allowed. This could save money and stop the fear of the staff not being able to be honest with patients for fear of repercussion.
  • Blitz the UK population by whatever and all available media to start to think about money and to SPEAK about money. We discuss weather, poor beer, the Ashes but remain tight lipped over money. Talk. Listen. Understand. Act. Plan.

Pensions: currently, when you die the money in your pension pot goes to the company providing it. Change the law so that it can be bequethed - not as cash to your heirs - but to their pension pot(s) and you could transform pension provision.

Your idea would increase the amount we needed to put into pensions massively!
    Gone ... or have I?
  • Why have we got this ridiculous postal charging structure for sending an item by its size?
Today the post office was full of people queing to have their items measured, by post office staff. Business is grinding to a halt because of this. Lets have it back the way it was!
  • Please put a stop to the iniquitous practice of insurance companies and others of automatically renewing contracts unless you cancel. They claim they tell you up front but you have to have a microscope to find it, especially if you're old like me.:j
  • It's a scandal that savers pay tax on savings interest when inflation is eating away at their capital. Tax should be levied only on the amount of interest which exceeds inflation.

Make it poosible for regulators like OfCOM/OfGEM to make thieving phone/energy companies provide refunds to customers when they are found to be ripping people off.

Sorry but they have the teeth but do not use them as they are lobbied and are not as clever as the people the companies send to justify increases, so believe them!

Government should make regulators act and not use them as an excuse for doing nothing. ie "the regulator is looking at it"

Remove all of the ‘extras’ from the State Pension.
TV licence; Bus pass, Cold weather payment, etc.

These cost a fortune to administer and a lot of pensioners resent them as demeaning charity.

Instead, the pension should be restored to the value that it would have been if Thatcher hadn’t removed the earnings link in 1980.
    £2.500 p.annum more for a couple.

Our elderley deserve a civilised pension which they have worked for all their lives, and should be allowed the dignity of deciding how to spend their own money instead of relying on patronising handouts.

The notion that students pay 'tuition fees' is a con; some receive only two hours of tuition per week. They are being robbed. Universities across the UK have cut teaching jobs and retained top-heavy management structures. Politicians should do the maths, cut out the bureaucracy and deliver value for money.
  • I have no objections to the people in this country working hard and earning lots of money. It surely would be a lot fairer if tax, like insurance, was just a set percentage of what a person earns from 0.01 to 10,000,000.00! The silly jump at £33,000 or similar from 25% to 50% is just unrealistic and silly!
