Companies should not be allowed to offer warranties on items that already have a manufacture warranty. I was pressured into buying one for my last laptop and never knew there was a year warranty on it already so I wasted a years worth of warranty money for nothing. Daylight robbery I say!0

When Banks change interest rates, up or down, then they should contact each borrower or investor, not just add a note at the bottom of the previous years' statement. Cost me £100 interest as I did not see the small print in a general mail.0

Bypass the banks who are stifling funding and let Local Authorities provide mortgage loans to first time buyers. They have all the necessary skills and resources such as legal and surveying departments plus a good local knowledge.
We did just this in 1977 to purchase our first home. Alan M :j0 -

Council tax is a struggle for many, especially those on a low income. Why can't council tax payments be spread over 12 months instead of 10? This would make it more affordable, and the option to set up an ongoing variable direct debit would help with the household budget. Every other company manages their finances over 12 months of the tax year, so why not councils?0

BT charges £2.59 each month the minimum number of calls are not made through BT as they assume calls are made through a different provider. Not always the case. My phone was broken and I was unable to make calls on the landline. Surely this is daylight robbery?0

Advertisements that are distributed to people's houses (kebab shops, cabs, etc) are very annoying, not good for the environment (waste of paper) and require people to look at them, even if they don't want to.
Obviously they are too cheap for the businesses.
Create a tax for businesses that advertise in such a way. It will reduce the number of (unwanted) ads and will create income for the country.0 -
Mandatory notification of interest changes
When fixed rate savings products reach the end of their term the rate usually plummets close to zero. Financial institutions should be required to give explicit advanced notice of maturity and the interest rate change, by post and/or email, to allow considered consumer action.0
