Make it harder for phishing scams to work by introducing a dedicated internet domain for financial institutions (eg. .banking.uk) which only firms regulated by the FSA could register and use.0

(I' not sure, but this might have already been proposed by the Business Secretary!)
Problem: Royal Mail needs to modernise; unions are resistant.
Solution: Achieve necessary employee buy-in to improving the company by making them all part-owners, as per the "John Lewis Partnership" model. Simples.0 -
The following are both bureaucratic and unnecessary and should be abolished.
1. Taxation at 20% on interest generated from cash held in a Stocks and Shares ISA.
2. The Inland Revenue’s restrictive “conditions” on holding uninvested cash in a Stocks and Shares ISA.0 -

Fairer vehicle road tax.
Make compulsory road tax free, add the cost onto fuel. So you pay by the litre, not the vehicle. Fairer as a person can only drive one vehicle at a time. Would also mean the spongers who never register their cars would still have to pay.0 -

Encourage motor manufacturers to improve the efficiency of their vehicles by making, say, the 10 most fuel efficient cars (reviewed regularly) exempt from VAT.0 -
Many large and some small companies to offer entry to their own or via an agency, mortgage bank accounts and credit cards, at preferential rates for staff.
This would foster stability and loyalty for both companies and workers.0 -
My idea for funding university places is to set up a committee, with members chosen from relevant organisations: CBI, Institute of Personnel & Development, TUC etc. This would then decide how many graduates and in what disiplines the country really needed. These places would then be fully funded for the best qualified applicants. All others would pay full costs.
