  • Limit the size of engine a person can drive for the first 3 years after they pass their test. e.g. 1.2 for the 1st year, etc. Get too many points and get kicked back to the lower level again. This would stop the 'boy (girl) racers', and help save lives.

Introduce 30mph repeater signs to remind drivers of the speed limit. Using lamposts is outdated and does not work. 30mph repeater signs are used where there are speed camera's (To aid prosecution perhaps?) so why not where there are no camera's?
Make sure that councils have to put speed signs on every exit to every roundabout so you know where you stand. Make them go out every year and cut the trees and bushes back so you can see these signs!!
  • Currently, payments set up with credit or debit cards under a recurring payment scheme are very difficult to cancel. Change this so that they operate a guarantee equivalent to the direct debit guarantee, with you able to cancel the payment at your bank.
  • Cap the prices each year for all forms of energy for heating and lighting to stop profiteering by energy companies
  • Aren't you the lucky one having a -spare room!

The environmental cost of keeping an old car running is hugely less than the impact of building a new car. Compare the carbon footprint of a new car to the ongoing work needed to maintain an old one. The governments scrappage scheme is a shameful lie which does not provide the true environmental impact of scrapping old with new.

There should be a reduction in road tax annually if you keep the same car upto say 10 years for example.
  • Financial companies should only be able to change interest rates if benchmarked against the BoE Base rate and/or (where applicable) the FHBR (Finance House Base Rate).

Not on the following basis (taken from a recent financial contract):
"to ensure that our business is carried on prudently, efficiently and competitively"
  • Free parking for cancer patients. This is very costly when you have to attend for daily treatments.
  • Change the Winter fuel payments to fuel vouchers so they can only be used for fuel and not pay for Christmas presents, a holiday or a new fridge. Hence actually keeping people warm as it was intended.

SORRY. Dont agree at all. Even 1.0l cars can do upto 100mph or more, so therefore boy/girl racers can still put the foot down in small engined cars. The driving test needs to be vastly improved including skid control, poor road conditions and even high speed driving.
