Adverts for toys often have the smallprint of "sets shown cost between £3.99 and £59.99". It would be more useful to know the cost of all the toys being shown so you'd get an indication of what you'd get for your £59.99.
  • No Tax on Pensions

Should not pay tax on pensions, private or state . have paid tax all working lives , cost of EVERYTHING has gone up , and low interest rates are eating away at savings .Re-instate the way they calculate any rises .
  • Banks should be offering the facility for people to be able to re-mortgage their properties for home improvements who just about managed to buy a property before all this recession drama started.

This would mean less stress in trying to find the money to improve/expand on the property.

Energy companies should NOT BE ALLOWED TO PROFIT FROM OUR O.A.P.s. It should be our duty and our goverment's duty to keep our O.A.P.s warm in the winter. There should be a special non-profit tariff set by the government which ALL energy companies should adhere to so that our O.A.P.s are NOT RIPPED OFF and allowed to freeze to death during the winter. In 2008 when all the energy companies were increasing their prices and their profits by 42%, that winter there was an increase in the deaths of O.A.P.s by 35% not surprisingly BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T AFFORD TO KEEP THEMSELVES WARM. So there should be a non-profit special rate applied for them. The energy companies make enough profit from the rest of us so give our O.A.P.s a break, they have enough to cope with especially in winter and it would save lives.

Private car parking enforcement companies notices and correspondence suggest, usually by omission, that the registered keeper of a car must name the driver of a car alleged to have breached their private parking rules. This is incorrect, only the police and certain public officials can demand this. It should be a criminal offence to suggest otherwise.
  • Energy companies charge the first X number of units used at a higher rate than those used subsequently, so for domestic use make the first fixed number of units at a fixed cheaper rate and excess units at a higher rate. This will encourage energy saving.

There should be clear well published advice, and procedures for making complaints about all public officials. At present, some, e.g Town Clerks seem to be unaccountable yet, because more and more duties are being passed to them, they go unchallenged more and more frequently.
  • Provide child support in the form of vouchers for young mothers under the age of 20 (tesco vouchers or similar). For women that reach 21 WITHOUT having had a child, provide a cash lump sum (say £2000). We need to offer practical incentives to stop the wrong people becoming parents.
  • Define a minimum term before Bonus Interest Rates can be withdrawn. I suggest a minimum term of 2 years.

To enable consumers to compare the value of services, establish a common format for the particulars that are relevant to any particular service sector. We should be able to see clearly on a statement, all the information needed to use comparison sites. The present multitude of packages on offer seems there just to make direct comparison nigh on impossible.
