Banks will do anything to make money. They should improve the rates offered to customers - borrowers and savers. REDUCE the charges that will hit the poorest in society. Clamp down on Excessive fees - even though the banks maintain they are 'clear and easy to understand'. It still doesn't make them right. (e.g Lloyds £5 per month 'usage' fee within an agreed facility.) Here's your overdraft limit - free until you use it!!! Then £5 every time you do.0

Points should remain on a licence permanently and never have an upper limit, just a running total. This would give a more accurate indication to an insurance company of the nature of a drivers style. Likewise with the 'no claims discount', it should not be capped like some companies do.0 -

really unclear what you are referring to as I work in the public sector and only get the standard bank holidays... not sure what EXTRA days you are referring to!0 -
Many companies with a renewable service e.g.insurance, subscriptions to magazines etc take your card details and then , when time comes to renew, think it is ok to send a letter saying they will charge for renewal unless you tell them otherwise. I think this should be stopped. NO money should be taken from a credit card or any other account without the owners express permission. You should NOT have to 'opt out' of a company helping themselves to your money. Having some hidden clause that says you are authorising this is not acceptable.0

They all do it so what's the point of pricing petrol at 120.9, or similar, it doesn't fool anyone?
And how to I claim my 0.1 pence discount if I buy 1 litre - what do you mean I have to buy 10 litres?
Yes I know that we are all tempted by the £9.99 pricing in shops as it sounds cheaper than £10 but surely this practice at petrol stations is just nonsense since its so universal? When was the last time you saw petrol priced to the nearest complete penny?
And it must be difficult for the petrol stations as they must all have a .9p on their displays. For instance - our local Tesco has to use an A4 sheet of paper to display this part!
I guess no one will go first if we leave it up to the companies themselves so let's scrap this stupid and unnecessary practice now by making it illegal to price anything that isn't based on a current coin or note.0 -
Go to any banks ATM and withdraw funds, instantly this withdrawal shows as a debit on your online account. Transfer funds online from one bank to another and the debit will show instantly but the funds take between 2 and 5 days to arrive at the destination account. It seems that all debits are instant yet all receipts are delayed, with the consequent interest loss. All electronic transfers should complete on same day.0

Some providers are just too important and integral to our lives and the nation to privatise (should never have happended in my opinion). There's no room for shareholders/dividends/profits I believe where water, gas, electricity and trains are concerned considering how quickly prices are going up - convert them all to not for profit organisations, where all profits are reinvested/reduce prices not used to line the pockets of investors!0

Many people are driven to despair when debts seem beyond their control. I'd like the government to raise awareness of FREE charitable advice lines/centres/websites that help people take control of their finances. People are often unaware that they are able to take positive steps to remedy their situation.0

Having stopped work to take care of my 80 year old father, due to a serious accident, i could not receive income support as well as the carers allowance because i had savings. They have now nearly been used up on his care. How can the government expect carers to live on £50 pw. Carers contribute so much but are just forgotten and broke.0

It is impossible to enter into any sort of adult discussion with CSA and something needs to be done to make it a more user friendly service (both for those making payments and those receiving payments)!
Many issues over the years but latest being that despite making regular agreed monthly payments my partner now has a letter saying they'll take him to court as he hasn't been paying. We have ALL of the pay in slips to prove his payments have been made, which they now acknowledge, but are still planning to take us to court!!! Hello... any one there got any common sense!??? Clearly not!
How is this helping anybody manage their income and outgoings????? and what is the cost to the tax payer of taking this nonsene to court?? :mad:0
