  • Very low (often 1%) minimum payments on cards means that by the time you can't afford to pay even the minimum you already owe a huge amount. Having a mandatory higher minimum payment, say 5%, would reduce the end amount significantly (6k instead of 30k perhaps), often allowing people to avoid bankruptcy or IVA with a simple bank loan that wouldn't be available for them for the higher debt levels

Having to pay for parking can be very distressing for both patients and visitors when they are already stressed by the reason for their attendance or visit.

Most immigrants can access free English classes, so the need for expensive interpreting should be provided only in very rare cases. I have witnessed an expensive interpreter being provided for an individual born, educated and holding down a job in the UK, which seems wholly unnecessary

Buying petrol - end the unfathomable 'price per litre'

I find the price notices at petrol stations bizarre, ridiculous and meaningless. They are unhelpful because it's difficult to fathom figures like "125.90p per litre" and "128.63p per litre".

Has anyone ever bought a single litre at, say, 135.54p and received the right change from £2? Perhaps we should put it to the test! :D I haven't seen a halfpenny in years, let alone 6 hundredths of a penny.

I want to see the price in pounds and pence without a decimal point (in the wrong place, as far as I'm concerned!).

Buyers like me want to see the prices more clearly. Petrol stations need to show the price of 10 or 50 litres, because these are the real quantities that motorists buy.

You know where you are when you see prices like:
£13.55 for 10 litres, rather than
    135.54p per litre.

Apologies if I've inadvertently got my sums, decimal points or mathematical concepts wrong - put it down to my bafflement and confusion, please. I've got a GCSE in maths, but it's no help on the forecourt. :o

Stop card companies issuing statements on random dates. Payments are never due on the same date every month. If your paid for example 4 weekly its a pain. Direct debits described as on or around should be banned, it should be one date so you know where you stand.

    This.

Bonus points if you drive yourself to A&E and, as happened to me in Cardiff, they told me to pay for parking before I could be signed in.

Took me an extra 15 minutes to find the cash machine, find the shops, queue for change, go back to my car and finally get to A&E.
  • While Network Rail says it needs to make so many staff redundant, leaving stations poorly attended etc, we assume to keep its costs down....why are they smashing down a perfectly good railway station in East Grinstead to build a nice shiny new one? What price a brand new railway station?
  • Cancer Research....have they found the causes and cures yet? After all these MANY years, they do not seem focused on curing the desease, just researching for the sake of it (and possibly self employment). Can the PM get them to provide some result after all these many years?
  • After these 2-3 years, has the government actually made any change to the Banks so that they do not lead us once again into the corner of the ring for a good kicking? One new law, even? Hmmm? Maybe a new dodgy dossier would spur on the government, perhaps?
