Hi,
I have noticed that if you are a family with two adults and two children, you get penalised by the tax credits system. If you are a one parent family with one adult and three children you are better off than if there are two adults and two children in the family, even though there are still four people in the household. Also, for every extra child in the family, you get about £50 per child more per week, whilst the extra expense for the extra adult is not taken into account. I find this totally unfair for 2 parent families, who have only two children.0 -
Companies frequently double bill and overcharge customers and receive overpayments. They should be obliged to refund the overpayments. Currently they keep overpayments and then 'write back or write off' the credits on the account at financial year end. The excuse used is to 'mitigate' losses from insolvency.0

PENSIONS FOR COUNCIL EXECUTIVES
The pension scheme rules need to be changed to ensure that senior council executives cannot 'design' their redundancies at an age when their pension will be made up to the full rate, normally 55 I believe.0 -
Break the law, get sent to jail and you get everything for free, TV license, council tax and other basic commodities. Don’t break the law and you must pay for everything.
Charge prisoners the same; though defer payment until they are released.

People who receive mobility cars should have the choice of standard basic cars, suitable for their needs and not BMW's, Mercedes, Audi's etc.0

If it was mandatory for all drivers to display a "car insurance disc" as proof of being insured surely it would reduce the number of uninsured drivers on the road and make them easier to detect. Insurance companies and insured drivers would gain. Wardens and the public could report offenders.0

Banks rip off everyone by making it as difficult as possible to find out what interest you are paying/receiving on your account.
Make it a law that everytime they tell you what the balance on your account is, by paper communication or e-communication, they should simultaneously tell you what interest you are receiving/paying on that account. It would be no problem for them to program their computers to do this automatically0 -
When you buy something in a shop at e.g £19.99, the cashier asks do you want the penny or is it a Charity Penny? If so, the cashier hits a specially designated button on the till and the money is notched up to a central charity fund raising £££££££££££:rotfl:0

How is the decision made to exempt certain people with chronic illnesses from paying prescription charges, but not others? Having an uncurable chronic illness I've had to purchase copious amount of medicine over the last 25 years and it has cost a small fortune to date as a result. Fair?0

Building Societies are non-profit making mutual organisations. Branches are being closed, not through lack of customers or low transaction levels but because they do not generate sufficient commission from the sale of loans, mortgages and insurances: savings accounts do not count  Pressure should be applied to prevent this continuing.0
