  • There should be no stamp duty for first time buyers to encourage and help them to get on the property ladder.
    :T

What god-given right do 1st timers have to be 'on the ladder'. If you cannot afford a Nasa Rocket of your own, you have to do without it, surely.
  • It would help considerably if the three main leaders were to tackle the critical financial crisis the country is presently faced with by putting on a united front. Leave blame aside, apply policies as necessary after most careful risk and harm assessment and put aside party politics.
  • Time to restructure the school holiday system. If the school holidays were spread out(also between authorities), It would benefit Travel agents/companies, local tourism, school attendance and working parents. People can holiday all year round, and throughout the world, but Uk is restricted by out of date school holidays system.
  • Dear PM, when you next meet with the President of the great USA, could you make it very plain that we in the UK deplore completely the quite common removal of claws from cats by US "cat-lovers". It is completely unacceptable to maim these gentle creatures like this and should be outlawed.
Is it not time that cats inthis country were licenced. The amount of cats, from owners with no thought for others, causing nuisance is getting out of hand.
  • Cost - £30 plus BILLION. Route – non-stop - London to Birmingham. One train every 90 seconds at 95dB 25 metres from track. Travelling time saved 50 minutes. Proposed 66% reduction in current rail services. Width 235 foot. Length 335 miles – despoiling acres of green belt, ANOB, listed buildings, lives ….
  • If people are signing up and dedicating themselves to protecting this country then they should be given the right equipment and paid a decent wage.

At the moment people are signing blank cheques for thier lives and our government doesn't seem to give a damn.

Also, it may help if we bought back conscription to reduce youth unemployment. I'm 23 and would not have any problems being conscripted as opposed to being placed on benefits if I became unemployed.
2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)
  • Pensioners have to declare their stay in hospital and their pension is deducted for that time. So they are in fact paying for treatment. No one else pays for hospital stays. The bills still have to be paid on the home services whilst a pensioner is in hospital.

And in what way do they justify the fact that they ask the poorest in society to pay for their treatment whilst those paying super tax can receive it free!
  • Currently if you have more than £16,000 in savings you may be entitled to claim Contribution- based JSA for 6 months, then nothing. This discriminates against those who chose to save their income whilst working. To be fair to all, savings should be excluded from unemployment benefit calculations.

Holiday Companies should not be allowed to double prices of holidays throughout childrens holidays. All this does is encourage people to take holidays in term time. This should be regulated
We are looking at this from the wrong end. The school holidays should be restructured throughout the year. This would aid travel companies, working parents, school attendance and the tourist industry,
  • Petrol & Diesel Prices
Filling stations display their prices (133.9) etc.
As fuel price is such an influence on all other costs would it be feasible to require filling stations to display (at the checkout) all the factors on which their charge per litre is based?
Would such a move help to slow down the apparent tendency to raise petrol and diesel costs to the motorist at every available opportunity?
One more quick question: Is it correct that the government charges a fuel duty - which is a tax- and then puts VAT on the fuel duty. A tax on the tax?
Really enjoy reading the ideas sent in by others. Thank You. Chas
