Struggling, debts still mounting due to interest & charges :mad:0 -
Hello
I just wanted to add to this I am also on a DMP arranged with payplan , Rather than set up a standing order or direct debit I have set up the details as a bill payment on my online banking, every month on payday I sign on and make my payment a whopping 485 quid  ( 3 years left)
I find the bill payment works better as I have a bit more control so if you came across the situation again with a late salary payment you would atleast not incur a charge from the bank
Just a thought .... :j0 -
Hi icecube. Glad you have managed to speak to CCCS and get something more realistic sorted. Hopefully this will allow you to relax a little while still paying off the debts. With reagrds to the food shopping - how about a list on the fridge/freezer or somewhere and when you are getting low of something write it on the list for the next shop - then if OH has to do it - he will at least know to get the stuff on the list that you are running out of.
Anyway - no doubt the MoneySavingOldStyle board will have loads of tips and tricks to make shopping and cooking that bit easier - so why not check them out?
Best of Luck with everything

Have just read through your thread and am glad you made the call. You have to be able to give your kids a normal life, and you're still being responsible about paying back your debts.

I will try the soap powder, i have used DAZ since he was tiny strangely that wasnt a 'usual' powder it just happened to be on offer one week so I bought it & then when i tried to use something else his skin flared up, chances are it would be fine with something different now!
Thanks for your help. will give the meal planning a go too, would be much better to know what we are having now anyway with me working till 6 (have been stuck with all afternoon shifts & stuck with all the cleaning!)
We used to use Daz for year and years cos like you I was scared that it would set our eczema off if we changed, but I switched to Lidl Formil Colour a couple of years ago and we haven't had any probs. the big size that I buy is 5.1kg /60 washes it says on the front for £6.49 but I use half the amount recommended with an extra rinse and everything is clean. I think Daz is about £5.50 for less than half that amount.
Worth a try maybe?

I luckily have never been paid more than a few days late but before I started she went away on holiday & made everyone wait till she got back to be paid so they were all paid 2 weeks late!
I work in a nursery, its a nightmare, if some children call in sick & we are over staffed someone gets sent hom so not paid (yet she still gets paid for the sick children) the other month she stopped £30 each from our wages to pay for toys that had been broken or gone missing.
I would report the owner to ofsted or at least get some advice from them. Are you a member of a union? What she is doing is totally out of order.LBM 10/08 £12510.74/0 -

Things have been OK thanks, was DS's birthday last week & i was able to treat him. I have a new problem thouigh I found out LLoyds TSB have been taking money from my bank account to pay my credit card, paying them £85 through the dmp, but this month they have taken another 2 payments, one for £82 & another for £45 to top up the dmp payments, but it means if they do it again & will go over the overdraft on my bank account (which is also included in the dmp & no longer used) can I stop them from doing this??Light Bulb Moment feb 2009
