Wow, how strange of them. I can tell by the print of the paper they're just sending out templates of letters and just adjusting some of the details on each one to suit the customer it's being sent out to. I too believe that they are just starting to drag thier feet now. If I don't hear anything from the deadline I have given them, it may well be a good thing to get some heads together with whoever else has a Tesco PPI complaint and see what they say. If we get enough interest, I'll ask some legal advisers at work where else we stand.

Quick update-I have been sent another letter, 7th January, to my response that I sent above. Apart from changing the dates, it's exactly the same as the last letter they sent me. Everything I said in my previous letter stands AFAIC. They have until 18th January to offer me a favourable final response or I go to the FOS.

Similar with me Tesco have till 22nd Jan 2010 to respond and then next step FOS a cert, I am very disappointed that they have not responded quicker as I have sent a few letters supporting misselling. I think they know they will have to pay out and are just delaying everything. Well fine because the longer it takes the more interest they will have to give back to me! why? because as their motto says EVERY LITTLE HELPS!!!
  • Sharpdeath if our cases go to the FOS I think it would be worth highlighting that TESCO are intentionally delaying responses because other loan companies are responding alot quicker and yet this top leading store is inefficient.

another loan company which I will mention at a later stage have admitted misselling which took me about three letters! well worth it! I had a top up a few years back and PPI was added so they are reducing payments and providing some PPI refund but I also had several top ups previous to that top up which also had PPI added and I am now claiming for those too as I believe you can.
I have all copies of the loan agreements and have stated the figures so that they know that I mean business. Shame because at the end of the day I am doing all this work for money which to be honest Itsmineanyway!!!!
