Nope, the first letter was sent to their "customer service" department which was the only address I could find at the time and freepost as well. Have got their banking address now and will be sending the next one recorded delivery.

Hi Finitra26. So it's 8 weeks per letter then? I thought 8 weeks altogether, i.e 4 weeks per letter. Thanks for letting me know. Mind you, their website does state they would aknowledge all complaints within 2 days and I haven't heard anything after all this time.

oops that is my fault, I should have mentioned that.......:o, sorry about that hun, I had my wires crossed here somewhere.X

Some do send an aknowledgment letter, and let you know they are dealing with your complaint, and when to expect to hear, but this can sometimes take 2-3 weeks before you receive one of them.
Then its 8 weeks per complaint they have to deal with your complaint from the date of your letter, or some will say from the date they receive it.

However, if you heard nothing by the time 8 weeks have passed, your entitled to then move on to the FOS.

Again though, if you have a few complaints with the same company, you can if you were mis sold for the same reasons, write on the same letter, but remember to write all the account numbers for each one, if on the same letter, this will then be 8 weeks.

Hope I made sense here hun.......:o

You can always give them a quick call if you want to to make sure your complaint have been received, before writing out another letter, if this was not originally posted by recorded delivery, they should be able to confirm this with you.;)XX

Thanks Di, you make perfect sense. It's only one complaint with them so it's pretty straight forward. When I send the second letter, I'll send them a copy of the first one with the date I first sent it. As compare the meerkat says "Simples!"

Have finally had a reply back from the first letter. :j They said they hope to resolve the complaint in 10 working days after passing it on to their PPI Concern department, so fingers crossed. Who would have thought they would have needed to establish a PPI Concern department.....

Thanks for the replies guys. The ten working days makes it Friday 13th! However, I have found the leaflet Tesco has sent me, " Your guide to making a complaint", makes for an excellent cider can coaster.....

Thanks Di! It's saved my tv cabinet a few water marks! This site has, and a couple of certain people, been really good and helpful with their advice and I truely thank them from the bottom of my heart for helping me. Nice to see there's still kind hearted people out there. :-)
