Still haven't heard anything back so will be sending them the second letter on monday. I know there's a postal strike going but will still hopefully get there at some point during the week. And on wednesday, someone reversed into my car and whilst I was inspecting the damage, someone went into the back of my car so have that to deal with as well!
Sorry to hear about your car hun , its either all or nothing isn't it?
Hope you caught the person who done this......, these days, its all hit and run......
If there's just as little as slight mark on hubby's car.....god help:eek:, a simple job with some t-cut would do the trick.:D
Good luck with your car and your reclaim hun, keeping everything crossed for you, a good win on the lotto would be nice as well wouldn't it?:D:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanks Di! I was sat in the car when the bloke reversed into me and stood beside it when the lady went in the back of me. All details have been exchanged and the lady has been fine and admitted to it but the bloke is being an idiot and saying I went into the back of him although he was reversing!
I think my car is going to be a right off due to the cost of parts. Might get myself a nice Boxster with the insurance money.
Anyway, going off topic. I shall send them this letter on monday and see if they will reply to this one! I doubt it though. How long does the FOB take? Is about 4 months or so?

Blimey what a run in.......sorry to hear this though hun, and hope it will get resolved, wonder if that car park has a security camera?
You could always ask, if its the council in charge or so, they may be able to look through the recordings for you, or even send a copy of that actual incident at that time, not sure if they will charge for this though.
Right in regards of the FOS, when you post this in, use recorded delivery as you know......:D, then a few weeks you should receive a letter to let you know they recieved your complaint form, and they will then let you know they will write to you again, maybe a month or so later at what stage they are at.
As there are large volumes of these complaints, it may take some time, but once past on to the adjudicator, if everything is straight forward the norm is that of approx 6 weeks, sometimes the banks request for extra time to send information.
So depending if this gets resolved by the adjudicator, or sent on the ombudsman, if the bank does not agree to the adjudicators decision, it will be for the ombudsman to decide.
One of mine taken 14 months, but that was a complexed case, hopefully yours will be sooner rather than later.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
It was down a small country lane, he was reversing around a blind t-junction. No witnesses but took some great pictures.
Thanks for the FOS info. Obviously I don't mind waiting, I was just curious as to how long these things take. If the FOS go in their favour (don't see why) would that be prejudicial in a small claims court?

Glad you taken some pics, well done :T:T.
To be honest I don't think you have to worry, I think this will defo go in your favour with the FOS.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Your welcome , you too.:A;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Sharpsdeath - You are not giving Tesco enough time to respond - they are allowed 8 weeks from the point they recive the letter - if you only sent the letter on the 5th October this means you haven't even given them 4 weeks yet. I wouldn't think FOS would get involved at this stage0

Hi Finitra26. So it's 8 weeks per letter then? I thought 8 weeks altogether, i.e 4 weeks per letter. Thanks for letting me know. Mind you, their website does state they would aknowledge all complaints within 2 days and I haven't heard anything after all this time. :rolleyes:All the time you're watching your back, you can never look forward...0
