Who's cheapest for (lightish, <2kg, but too big for RM small package Airmail) parcels to the US these days? Thanks! (PBee £24.99 for 72 hr service - anyone cheaper / better?)
I have had delivery cheaper by 4p! SendingParcels.com £24.95 for up to 2.5kg. They sent my package with FedEx International Priority0 -
Just a note of caution to those using Parcel Bee at the moment. I've heard from two different people that DHL are claiming they've not been paid and are now either returning packages to their original sender or keeping hold of them (presumably until the account has been settled)0

i know they are quirky, i know they are not suitable for everyone, i know some people dont like them but we all have different experiences and requirements, look at the previous posts giving PB a hard time.
this is just an objective opinion from one of their happier customers and £4.99 ex vat includes northern ireland and scottish highlands too - i cant fault them at the moment. And no, before i start being accused of being a mole, i'm not connected to them in any way!!
Wish they would go on quidco though!!!
Well, with myhermes, they do have a set weight limit and they dont have many good reviews, bar yours and maybe a few others. I may have to try them some day for non business items that are light enough for Royalmail not to be cheaper
I left myhermes out for a reason. I havent used them though.0 -

Hmmm.... Hopefully they dont go the same way as lcpd. If they do, I see sites like pm making more money. Hopefully, they can remain competitive on the international market
It would also be nice if they allowed us not to use paypal(I use Barclays as well) and pay a cheaper rate
Also, if you send parcels between 10 and 30kg, ppp are your best bet as pm's prices go up if you send parcels over 10kg0 -
That's interesting because I ordered with parcelbee last night and received my labels and collection confirmation for Monday morning as usual . . .
I have nothing against Parcelbee. You'll actually see that I've been recommending them in previous posts and I've personally had no problems with them. I send several packages with them a week and actually sent a package on Thursday that arrived at the intended recipients on Friday morning, as planned.
Two other people were not so lucky, though. You can read a post about it http://www.rpoints.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=1202572&start=525 The other posts are on a private forum, so I cannot link to them, but I will ask the OP if they'd be kind enough to post over here about it.
It's up to individuals to decide how they wish to proceed but I thought I should at least let people know what I've heard. It may have been a temporary problem that is now resolved. They may also simply be continuing to operate. I just didn't want more people to end up having their packages returned or held by DHL whilst they sort out whatever issues they have with Parcelbee.0 -

Thanks for giving us the heads up. More info please.0 -

this is usually how it goes
the resellers clock up a nice profit from sales then dont pay the courier who did all the work0 -
I've had a problem with parcelbee.
I just used Parcelbee for the first time on Thursday 4th March.
DHL came to collect my parcel just 1.5 hours after I arranged the collection, which I was impressed with!
Upon entering the tracking details on the DHL site, it shows that the box was collected from me, but then the next entrance shows 'Returned to shipper'.
I've phoned DHL to ask why my parcel is being returned to me, and they said that the company I went through (ParcelBee) is no longer with them, so my parcel is being returned to me.
Why did parcelbee take my order if they knew this??
I've tried to call Parcelbee to ask about getting a refund, but spent 20 mins on hold on two different occasions so I hung up as it is a premium rate number.
I sent parcelbee an email and received a reply, asking when I received the parcel back, and can I give them a reason.
My parcel was returned, and the driver said that it is because of something called a 'credit stop', and ParcelBee are in arrears with their whole account with DHL, so they are not taking any parcels until parcelbee have paid.
I emailed parcelbee with this info, and they sent a rude unprofessional reply -Thanks for your comments:
Even if what the driver told you is true (which it is not) do you really
think that he would have access to such information and pass it on to you?
In any event, we will issue a refund which will be processed within the
next 24 hrs.
Thanks, ParcelBee.
Of course they would deny it, but I'm not the only one who has had problems with them recently.
I then started a paypal dispute to get my money back, and parcelbee are now being sly... I received this from paypal -Dear XXXXX,
PARCELBEE has asked us to look into case #PPXXXXXXX decide the outcome
because they said they sent the item you bought. Here are the case details:
To help us come to a decision, we'll look at the messages you and the
seller have exchanged in the Resolution Centre. We may also ask you for
more information. If we do, please respond as quickly as possible.
Thanks for contacting us. We're looking into your case and will decide the
outcome.
If paypal go with them, then I will certainly be appealing the case, and calling them up.
I also have the email from parcelbee stating that they would process my refund within 24hours (before I started the paypal dispute)... I hope this will have some bearing with paypal.
