Cheap Parcel Delivery Official Discussion

There been some interesting reading. Thanks people
I'm planning to post some large boxes (upto 30kg) from the UK to Finland.
I have now drawn up a short list of 3 companies to go through
Parcel2ship
collectmyparcel
and
parcelbee
Parcelbee is the cheapest while the other two are the same, although parcel2ship offers a upto 5okg service with DHL.
Firstly, I can't believe the price that parcelbee is offering. £13.99 for a 48h european service is so cheap. Is this 13.99 for all countries in the EU or is it from £13.99? I guess this does not include vat.
From all the posts people have added, it seems parcelbee provide an excellent service but I don't believe the price. I have send parcels before to Finland and I have paid £60 inc vat
Any advice on first time users either with parcelbee or with the other two companies on my short list.
ThanksI use multimatcher lazza which has the tab "bonus if 0-0"0 -
Yes, it's hard to believe how they can get their prices so low! I hope they can sustain them in the long run.
I've used their Europe service twice now and have been really impressed. AFAIK, £13.99 is for all of Europe. and it INCLUDES VAT!
Remember to use 'parcelbee5' for a 5% discount! :money:0 -
It doesnt include VAT as they arent VAT registered as they havent passed the threshold. Theres no need for them to be VAT registered if they dont pass the threshold
They would need over 10,461(29 a day) orders a year to pass the threshold if you dont use their discount code
If everyone used their discount code, they would need 11,021(30 a day) orders a year to pass the threshold. I think the threshold is £68,000 but I may be wrong0 -
Used Parcelbee a few times now and most impressed UPS seem pretty good as well as DHL seemed to go out of their way to damage parcels!
Even when i emailed them on a Sunday i got a reply the same day which has go to be good service.
Long may Parcelbee continue :j0 -

Totally different to my experience then. Late pick up late delivery and no response from CS. I wouldn't use them again0 -
Damn, I just booked an order today with them yesterday. Ah well, hopefully they can keep their prices at £5.99 and £13.50
Good for future bookings though!
Ive added my email to their subscription list so that I know of any discount codes when/if available
EDIT: They have took off their discount code. Ah well. Still a good deal and hopefully people continue to use them, so that they can keep prices down(until they pass the threshold lol)0 -
Wow, competition really seems to be hotting up out there. Thats Parcel2Go & ParcelBee who have both dropped there prices in the last week. Anymore for anymore?0

A nice sign as well. Companies were competing before the recession and before fuel costs started rising and rising dramatically. Now companies are able to compete again for our custom.
I also think they've dropped their prices in response to p2g dropping theirs. I think if your VAT registered, you claim back the VAT or am I wrong? P2G had a service at £5.99+VAT and parcelbee now have the same service, without VAT seeing as though they dont need to just yet lol. Now looking to see PM's prices fall and maybe even PPP
Now looking for a company that can deliver parcels for £5.05+VAT lol0 -
you are indeed correct, as a vat registered biz, i'm only bothered with the ex vat price. as things stand at the moment, i would switch from PM to PB - sods law i placed an order with PM this morning!!
PBs late cut off collection time swings it for me plus the chances of getting collection from UPS.0
