Hi Guys been reading this thread and there are some great tips, From experience I am trying to get my God daughter her gift for Xmas, She lives In America now... Which firm do you find can deliever and be reliable and fairly inexpensive
Thank you very much!0 -
For me, its not bad
Seeing as though the majority are in the UK and some are from Europe, hardly any from the rest of the world for the higher priced goods as Im not going to lie on a customs form
At this moment in time, for you(and me) I suppose parcelbee is your best bet

For daughter in USA, I suggest buy from Amazon.com USA and see if you can get item gift wrapped (an Amazon standard service) and shipped from/delivered in the USA.
Just don't touch Amazon partners, only buy from Amazon itself.0 -
True might be your best bet, especially as shes likely to get charged customs/handling fees, then again you are literally sending a gift0

So parcel bee doesn't charge fees? I also read about collectmyparcel.com and interparcel and parcel2go? Anyone have reccomandations for them?
Yeah i have the gifts already so amazon si out.0 -

It will be the responsibility of your daughter to pay any customs fees or duties when she receives the goods. These are seperate for the carriage fees you pay to send the item. It makes no difference who you use to book the parcel and it makes no difference which courier they use.
The amount of fees she pays will be dependant on the value of the goods ( or more correctly on the value you declare on the customs form you will have to fill in so don't put down too much!) . The amount she can import into the USA is pretty high (way higher than our UK import limit when goods come this way) before any duties are payable so unless you are being very generous she should have no fees to pay on receipt of the parcel. Any of the companies you have mentioned will be OK.0 -
I suspect your supplier will move heaven & earth to avoid giving a refund, beginning with refusing to acknowledge they received the goods back and/or have no idea who signed for them for the tracking.
I now fink sending this bag full of crap is not a good idea! Honestly, i am so annoyed, i just about managed to get the guy to agree to give me an exchange!
Anyhows, Thanx guys for all your help:T0
