Have you looked at other carriers?
    You've just proved my point!!

    http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews80026.html - Parcelforce 1.2/5, Myhermes 1/5, Yodel 1.1/5

    http://www.ciao.co.uk/Initial_City_Link__5287114
Hermes ratings as bad as the CityLink one you linked to and Yodel even worse!

    http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.dpd.co.uk
    DPD 2.6/10, Myhermes 1.5/10, Yodel 1.1/10

    http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews243919.html
UKMail 5.3% recommend, Myhermes 0% recommend, Yodel 3.4% recommend

All services are going to get some bad reviews but hermes and yodel consistently rate lower. As I said - hermes and yodel can never be regarded as superior services!

The problem is, myHermes aren't even a courier company, the one you'r looking for is Hermes UK Delivery or Hermes Europe, who deliver for myHermes

    http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews263555.html 1.7/10

    http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.hermes-europe.co.uk 3.7/10

    http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/transport-automobile-services/hermes-delivery-service/ 4/10

    http://www.ciao.co.uk/Hermes_Parcel_delivery__7325302 3/10

    Average: 3/10

Plus I might add for fairness, at Trustpilot you can't rate lower than 1/5 or 2/10

The point is that they consistently rate low and often lower than all the other companies. Your original post stated they were a 'superior service' when quite clearly they are not.
  • they are to HDNL

Can I also ask you a question or two,

When was the last time you went online to review a bad company?

When was the last time you went online to review a good company?

On here I generally convey my personal findings, not those of review sites, and I have a fair amount of experience with many different courier companies, and I have the right to the opinion that Hermes is a good service, I hardly ever get a complaint about them from a customer, but HDNL or City-link, hell yeah!!

That's not really much of a recommendation!

I have reviewed good and bad companies online. It tends to only be if they have been exceptionally good but any degree of bad and you can be damn sure I'll be wanting to tell someone about it!

You have the right to whatever opinion you wish - noone is disputing that. I prefer to work with facts and the numbers on the review sites, as well as the constant bad reviews on various forums show up the exceptionally bad companies constantly.

As for personal opinion - I have used City Link via ParcelMonkey regularly for a couple of years now and have only had one problem where a delivery was returned to me that actually turned out to be a mix up between the customer and City Link. Every other time (we're talking somewhere in the region of 100 or more deliveries here) has been faultless and perfect.
  • And I'm talking somewhere in at least 10 000 I've sent, it's always city-link or HDNL that get the complaints

    Hi

I'm looking for a service to carry a bag or box containing a folding display stand. All the services I've looked at so far (apart from anyvan.com) talk about properly sealed-up parcels.

My "parcel" would either be a zipped-up bag or a correx box with strapping.

Can anyone recommend a suitable service other than anyvan?
