Thanks very much, turns out as the destination is in the neck of the woods it's a tiny bit more = £14.59 - still the insurance sounds good as parcelsplease only cover up to £60...

I have some stuff i have been selling off and on ebay for a while now and im finding that a lot of buyers are put off with the costs of the shipping from uk to usa,not only that i want the shipping for them to be as low as possible as it helps me sell my items.

For many shipments now i have been using interparcel and i cant fault them, they have been great everytime, they are probably a lot less than using the couriers direct, but i do still find sometimes they are expensive. When you add insurance etc etc.

I have thought of using another service/company from time to time, but cause i have been happy with interparcel i find it hard to use anyone else, cause im comfortable using them.

I was thinking of using parcels2go,but i have read a lot of neg feedback, but i suppose interparcel has this also.

I see they both use the same couriers and i did find today that a shipment with parcels2go is at least £50 cheaper for same service,ok its not me thats paying for the shipping but the less its for the buyer the better for me.

I cant see how anything can go wrong with using parcels2go as they send the courier out to you and its the courier that deals with the parcels right so if anything was to go wrong, they it could happen with interparcel as well.

Or do parcels2go just mess up with not being collected in time,if claims are needed etc,my items are well packed but they they could get lost, which i must say has not happened with interparcel yet. They can sometimes be expensive items and so i do want them to arrive ok and not get lost but i suppose things happen,i just wonder if this did happen who is best to deal with.

As i said if i can save the buyers on shipping them its better for me on selling my items, most of them are going to usa.

So do i need to worry about using parcels2go,i think i was going to use them years ago but i found back then there was a little neg feedbacks about them, and not so many with interparcel, who do you use and who do you think is the better of the two.

I take parcels2go works in the same way as interparcel you book online are able to print paper work and the courier comes picks it up,and are able to track it?so why does parcels2go have so much negs, its the couriers who deliver?
Is it due to them not doing there jobs sometimes and parcels not being collected?and cause parcels have got damaged or got lost and not being able to get hold of them or claim etc again parcels getting lost can happen with anyone.

parcels2go on a shipment i need sent comes up 50 pounds less right now which is a great saving to my buyer

  • They both work in the same way, I'd probably go P2G with that saving, but do try https://www.gwizzcouriers.co.uk or https://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk , as they do seem the best for larger parcels

think i will give gwizz a miss, seems to be a surcharge if its in an extended area, and the list is almost 500 pages long, also im looking at sending 3 parcels to same address, does not seem to let me when you enter first box, says after step for im almost if not away to enter my billing details in and i cant see where i can enter more boxes,so just seems a bit of a nightmare to use compared to interparcel who i have used

and parcelmonkey just comes up with Sorry, we don't have a service suitable for this item

so i will probably stick to interparcel or the cheaper parcels2go as the above sites does not do anything for me

    Hi,

I need to send a parcel back to Korea as it's a faulty monitor. It weighs about 12kg and the dimensions are about 80cm x 60cm x 20cm. I think the cheapest delivery option is Fedex Economy using Parcel2Go but wanted to see if anyone found anything cheaper?

I have used Transglobal express (org.uk I think).

These guys have arrange cheap deliveries for me to USA and Japan.

To my surprise the customer service was stellar when things went wrong (parcel damaged), I got the full insurance payment in no time!

Try that with some Ape couriers... :rotfl:

What prices have you been quote with P2G? Is it going to the North or South? I'm not sure if that makes a difference to the price?
  • Hi to all moneysavers. I have a roof box that I want to advertise on ebay. I have checked so many shipping websites. Most of them would not quote me online. Of the few that would accept the package size, the cheapest postal price I have found so far is £38 via Shipley. I wanted to check if any one knew or has experience of any shipper who could possibly be cheaper since there are many sellers on ebay who are charging £10p&p for roof boxes this size.

    The dimensions are 230cm (l) x 75cm (w) x 41cm (h) and it weighs 20kg.

For those who are interested, it is a Silver Kamei Corvara 475.

    Thanks for helping
