... myhermes ... superior service to be had
I certainly wouldn't put those 2 phrases in the same sentence without the use of the word 'not' somewhere in there!!!

And I'm not sure that you can class "collectplus" as superior service when you have to shlep to a shop for it - although I conceed that it may be cheap (if you live near said shop). Previous posts on this thread also suggest it is a slow service, although I've never used it myself (as I live miles from the nearest collectplus shop).

Collect + deliver to the door, and a lot of people actually go to work so a shop is very useful to drop off a parcel at, as for Hermes, if you have a good local courier you can actually get to know them quite well, they'll come around at the same time each day, and often their self-employed couriers have a far better local knowledge than van drivers

Just wanted to say that despite all the warnings & nightmare stories I decided to go ahead & use Collect +. My package arrived securely and on the first day advised by them. Ok so I know that it doesn't negate the bad experiences others have had but just wanted to give praise where it was due.

Still wouldn't class it as a superior service! Its a lottery on who delivers the parcel at the other end. You just need to look at any of the review sites to see how much worse Hermes and Yodel are considered compared to any other carrier.

    Parcelforce 48 hour through parcelforce's website is £10.50 plus VAT = £12.60.

Note: Offer can't be done through Quidco. Can only be done through topcashback:

Go through topcashback, click code box and get cashback on topcashback Parcelforce page, enter the code at the checkout and you get Parcelforce 48 hour courier for £10.70 minus £3.03 cashback = £7.67. Parcel2go a lot of services only have £20 insurance now and extra insurance is very expensive, Parcelforce 48 hour through this method means that as long as you enter the voucher code and topcashback tracks, then you will pay £7.67 for a courier direct through Parcelforce and it includes £100 insurance. Excellent deal, sent a laptop using this method the other day as parcel2go want £4 just for £100 insurance on the DHL service, which was about £7.80 with £20 insurance included:)

If you send regularly and want ParcelForce then you should look into a DespatchBay account, £5.65 + VAT.
