"I need to send a bike (boxed up) to Denmark.
Speed isn't very important, even a few weeks delivery time is fine, but it needs to be as cheap as possible. I reckon it will weigh 15(ish)KG and be about 100x100x50 cms.
Can anyone recommend a suitable carrier?

    Thanks. "

on the site that I have started to regularly use, the pricing tool said it would be £22.45 to deliver this.

I would say to have a look at sites like sendingparcels, interparcel, parcel2ship and other ones that have been suggested already on the site. Most of them are easy to get a quote from

The only problem is, I think, the size of my box may be prohibative!
It will contain a full, adult sized bike in it, so I estimate it will have dimensions of 100x100x50cm appx.

Oh I know what you mean, because of the dimensional weight. What about someone like Mail Boxes Etc. I think they can handle big items or just do a google search for shipping large items. Usually there will be someone on here who has had experience of sending big parcels.

It is too large for the standard parcel services, and will need to go on a Freight parcel service. I have PM'd you details of a company I know that can take it.

    Thanks

I think they have quotes on their site, however if you ring some of the franchises up(eg: the Bradford one) then they ask you how much you are paying currently, and then will try and match that, so you might as well find your cheapest courier and ring them up and see if they can give you a better deal :D
  • I have also been in touch with quidco about tracking for PM and they have told me there is nothing wrong with the tracking, must be cookies etc (I know it's not as all other retailers are tracking fine), and said I will need to raise tickets for all (now 50) transactions, I usually go with quidco is a bonus, however, this was an incentive to use PM - I used them once when the cashback was £1.00 (next day it went up to £2) and that one tracked but nothing since.

So, as I felt I wasn't getting far with quidco, I mailed PM, and got a reply:

Thank you for your email.unfortunately we have no control over Quidco. As much as we want to extend help regarding your issue, I suggest you contact Quidco directly for these concerns.

Should you have other concerns, please let us know and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

    Kind regards,

Not sure how the other poster who had quite the opposite response from PM got their response as they are telling me it's basically nothing to do with them - I won't be very happy if they don't pay out, I have taken a print of all my confirmed orders and of the quidco screen and will take it further if they don't pay it.

Me to I have used PM through quidco only about 4 times but none of the orders has tracked either

I need some advice on sending items to Canada and USA weighing 750g and 2.4kg with a minimum value of £50. Is there a website where I can check out prices for various couriers? And are they fully trackable?

    TIA

Have just booked an item with Parcelsplease for the first time. As much as its not the best bit of web design in the world it was simple to get a quote. Especially in comparison to other sites.

The problem I have a lot with getting quotes is they don't always make it easy to get a quote for Highlands and islands at least this site just asked for postcodes which made it easier. The prices are comparable to others. They weren't the cheapest but only by a few pence (other than my hermes and after the horror of them no way)

Will tell you how it goes. I have quite a few parcels to send over the next few weeks so have been trying alternatives to Parcelforce so want to find a couple of good couriers I can rely on.

I don't think there is one site that will give you a price for all couriers so you may have to get a quote from each one. I've used Interparcel before for international deliveries with no problems
