Cheap Parcel Delivery Official Discussion

Nice people to deal with I thought.
I had a look back through your previous posts and found over 30 reccomending parcel monkey before i got bored. couldnt find any recommendations for other compnaies though.
One particular post that stuck out was back in september when someone said that parcelmokeys insurance terms were unreasonable
i quote
"What is the time scale to submit any claims for loss/damage?
Claims must be in the Parcel Monkey office within 24 hours from the date of delivery. Any claims for loss will require written confirmation from the receiving customer that they have not received the item. If this is not submitted with the claim; the claim will be refused.
The very next post is you jumping in and offered to sort this out with parcel monkey. I see nothing has changed as of todays date.
Probably time to you got a new ID when supporting parcelmonkey.
I'm not saying parcelmonkey are bad, you will see a post from me in the past supporting them but spamming and spinning isnt going to do anything to improve the service or the reputation of this board and my view is changing.0 -
I have spoken, well emailed, ParcelMonkey regarding Quidco tracking and all their systems are in place to pay quidco in relation to click throughs etc.
What quidco pay out is down to them.
ParcelMonkey have not offered quidco the chance to pay out £2 to customers on a £6 transaction.
They said that as we are the cheapest in the UK for next day delivery we could not maintain our business if we gave away such a large percentage of a small fee.
I have been stung many times in the past by Quidco items not tracking so I guess it's down to the transaction price being right and anything from Quidco is a bonus.
I am happy with the price's and service at ParcelMonkey so will stick with them.
They asked if I would put this on MSE as they wanted to clear this up and will contact Quidco themselves next week. When talking they also said they pay MSE via click throughs in the same way.

That's funny, because there is (allegedly) £2 cashback through TopCashBack too, surely you're not saying that that is down to TCB and not ParcelMonkey? Funnily enough, that hasn't been "confirmed" yet either. Not for any of my parcels.
Surely Parcel Monkey could do without a visit from Trading Standards? They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -
i've just queried this with quidco as i have 7 orders, none of which are tracking yet. the reply from quidco is that they are unaware of any problems with parcel monkey and that there is no minimum spend to secure the cashback.
why do i doubt i'm ever going to see any cashback? think the sooner parcel monkey get on the phone to quidco and top cashback to clarify this the better! i'm sure lots of people are placing orders on the promise of £2 cashback - i know i am!0 -

I have also been in touch with quidco about tracking for PM and they have told me there is nothing wrong with the tracking, must be cookies etc (I know it's not as all other retailers are tracking fine), and said I will need to raise tickets for all (now 50) transactions, I usually go with quidco is a bonus, however, this was an incentive to use PM - I used them once when the cashback was £1.00 (next day it went up to £2) and that one tracked but nothing since.
So, as I felt I wasn't getting far with quidco, I mailed PM, and got a reply:
Thank you for your email.unfortunately we have no control over Quidco. As much as we want to extend help regarding your issue, I suggest you contact Quidco directly for these concerns.
Should you have other concerns, please let us know and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Kind regards,
Parcel Monkey Team

Not sure how the other poster who had quite the opposite response from PM got their response as they are telling me it's basically nothing to do with them - I won't be very happy if they don't pay out, I have taken a print of all my confirmed orders and of the quidco screen and will take it further if they don't pay it.0 -
Could you take them to trading standards for this? I would also save your emails from them in case you do need to-as they seem to be blaming quidco. Im also pretty sure the last few comments here might come in handy as well0

Your contract is with Quidco i presume, did you delete cookies before every transaction ?0

i can see this ending up as a squabble between quidco, pm and quidco users.
PM are obviously getting lots of quidco & top cashback referrals but blatantly have no intention of paying cashback - that just leaves quidco users stuck in the middle with no way of receiving the cashback advertised while PM rack up the orders!
i wish quidco would go out on a limb and give a better answer other than saying everything is fine when it would appear to be far from the truth.0 -

I have been with PM although tbh I don't as a rule when going through quidco and all other tranx have tracked ok - I don't have a problem with tracking normally.
Given that there are a few ppl who it is not tracking for, I don't think they can blame it on an individual problem, it appears to be a quidco V pm problem.0 -
I need to send a bike (boxed up) to Denmark.
Speed isn't very important, even a few weeks delivery time is fine, but it needs to be as cheap as possible. I reckon it will weigh 15(ish)KG and be about 100x100x50 cms.
Can anyone recommend a suitable carrier?
Thanks.0
