It would be helpful if Martin's article mentioned which companies accept larger parcel shipments.

By working my way through the links I've found that collectmyparcel.com doesn't seem to have the same 150cm max dimensions limits that the other cut price companies have.

I used them once before when I sold a VW Sharan dog guard on ebay which was 147cm by 110cm when wrapped and CMP only charged me £8.95 for DHL 48 hour shipment, and just now I've had to send another large parcel, a front strut for my Microlight aircraft which is 225cm in length and is in a 12cm diameter cardboard protective tube, and this time it's £8.39 for City Link next day delivery.

In my limited experience CMP has been fine to use
As said in many an earlier reply, GWizz generally work out cheapest for items of large size or value!

We have used collectmyparcel.com for ages, years in fact. The City Link service is a new thing and works fine for us I think it goes over 200cm even.

    Hi all,

Just wondering which resellers to go for, taking in to account time consideration? Before, I was using a multitude of resellers ie:parcelmonkey, parcel2go, payperparcel etc... but because of the fact that Im going to university, and I may want to sell my old stuff, the courier will have to come at a specific time (as it would mean having to wait outside for the courier to come at the set time)

    Thanks
  • Sent a parcel with collect+ on Wednesday 3rd August, it still has not reached destination but today (30th) for the first time appeart to be at Raven rc. Suggest you do not use this collection system - obviously I am still waiting for my refund from House of Fraser ....
  • Collect+ is NOT a delivery company, and HDN/Yodel are responsible for your package not moving, collect+ only operate as a collection/drop off point, and house of fraser would probably send your parcel through HDN/Yodel anyway, so it would have made no difference!

Couriers do not collect at a specific time, the only way to work round that would be to use the post office, Collect+ and DHL servicepoint mixed-smiley-010.gif

    Hi

This may be a stupid question and I have searched and cant find an answer.

If I have booked a courier to pick-up from an ebay seller - how do I send the seller the courier label? I can't send it as an attachment to the ebay email address?

Oh of course. Forgot that DHL will allow me to go to their service point. Ill have a look at how far away it is from the uni; otherwise it's selling things in the holidays instead

You'll have to book the collection for a couple of days time, then post the seller a printed label

The City Link and Yodel services with collectmyparcel.com don't require special labels, hand written ones are fine.
