Ah looks good thanks, will hopefully sell for over £100 so might be slightly more than that if I want adequate cover but at least I know a ballpark figure and that its realistic. Thanks!

If it goes over £50 check the compensation given. Most reseller couriers are £50 but you can purchase additional.

We use Despatch Bay, which is expensive if you have less than 4 items a day, but standard comp is £100.

Edit - just re read your post and see that you knew that!

I'm abit confused with royal mail services. I have a package to send 25x20x15 weighing 1.5kg. Can I send this/class this as, a packet with the royal mail? Would that be my best option?

When i check on royal mail site, enters my dimensions and weight, i choose packet it says £8.65 for special next day delivery guaranteed with £500 compensation. This seems like a solid match for what i want, aslong as sending my item which will be in a box covered with a large padded envelope is classified as a "packet".

    Still my best bet?

I used to use interparcel and parcel monkey alot and never had trouble with either I see myhermes is the cheapest but it also has an outrageous amount of negative feedback so im staying clear of them.

yes you are a packet if the numbers you have givens units are cms- max packet size is 61cm by 46cm by 46cm. Royal mail is good for light valuable items.

parcelmonkey do a citylink next day bag for £5.82 - you havent given the value so you might need to buy more insurance. I've used PM a few times recently without problem.

Thanks. What about for collecting on saturdays and delivering on sundays whats my best option there? I can't recall if courier services do this at no extra charge unlike royal mail.

    Hi all.
I bought a item off ebay, the seller had free postage( 2nd class) in the postage details , but in the small print its said collection only.

So now i have to arrange a courier to collect the item, my question is??? do all these courier firms require you to print off labels? as i will be me making the booking so i would have to send the print off to her( to much hazzle).

The best you will get is a delivery on Saturday - but the prices doubles or trebles.
    Nothing moves on a Sunday.

There are a few - UK Mail and DHL Home for instance. These are available through a few resellers - i would suggest taking a look at www.interparcel.com as an easy reseller with fair prices where you get a comparison

I'd complain to the seller first, then raise an issue with ebay since it's kinda mis-selling, even if the product description is correct the postage details should be clear and accurate. I'd be pretty cross if it had happened to me.

    Good luck!

Apparantly I can't post links even if it's in a quote.
