    Hi

Don't know if you still need help on this but UK Mail/business post has always been one of the best for b2b, and for small packets probably the most competitive with one of the highest service levels.

However, they USED to be pretty poor at residential stuff. Because so much of their route/organisation was set up for just doing business deliveries, which were easier as between 9-5 there would always be someone there. The residential ones would just sometimes get missed off.

But, this was a couple of years back, and I guess that it they're offering out to the reseller market they should be more geared up for the inevitable problems that come with the residential stuff.

    Thanks
    Sandra

Thanks for that ,yes im still trying to find out if they have good feedback or not.I have looked on Google and not a great deal comes up about their level of service, but they dont seem to cover the rural locations?

    I'm still using them.
I am too, but am now fully open to switching to a new company. Prior to the changes I was 100% happy with them. On a day where the 1.95 gets added my direct DHL account is now significantly cheaper. The next day collection is the larger problem though as I am ad-hoc account rather than scheduled daily collection.

    Hi Guys.

Looking for a courier to send something 175 cms long, 30 wide, 10 deep, weighing no more than 5 kikos.

Any suggestions please, awkward due to length

I have a similar problem (items 165cm long and 185cms long). Who did you decide to use in the end please? Or any other suggestions from folks? Considering UKMail through Interparcel, @£6.99+VAT.

Citylink, £7.99. I know there are horror stories but couldnt fault them to be honest. And this was to IOM:eek:

    Would definitely use again.
  • I've recently used several of the services mentioned on the MSE cheap parcel delivery page to send or collect parcels. Each time, I used the one that was cheapest.

I sent a large parcel I sold on eBay to a remote address in Scotland at the end of the snowy period in October using CityLink via Parcel Monkey. Delivery was attempted the next day, which was excellent given the conditions.

Unfortunately, the recipient could not be in to receive the parcel and CityLink needed authorisation from Parcel Monkey to deliver it next door. I contacted Parcel Monkey through their website, and they responded helpfully in just two minutes. The parcel was successfully delivered the next day.

Verdict: a superb service, highly recommended.

Wait until you are a few weeks in using them before recommending. I had a few problems, all sorted out in the end. However recently the service has sunk to a level I can't tolerate. fifteen emails so far, and I haven't finished yet.
Easy to boost a company on one or two experiences.
  • Why wait till February to leave feedback on something sent in October? How large was your parcel? I didn't think Parcel Monkey was on the MSE page for cheapest on large deliveries?
  • @ tipertip. Because since then I've used a variety of other parcel companies, with much different customer service experience. I intend to post my experiences with those when time permits. I thought it would be helpful to other members of the forum to hear someone's experience of what happens if you need to contact customer services.

    Hi Flying fish.

The reason people may be suspicious is your very low post count and then praising a company who are no longer allowed to post on here and who have also had posts removed from new account users posting on their behalf. FWIW I have also used PM and had both good and bad service, so they lie neutral with me.

People will be less suspicious if your other posts re the other companies don't expectedley end up critiscising them and painting out PM to be the best out of the lot, which we all now is not quite the truth, lately at least.
