Just came back from the Post Office & they want £20.51 for it. Even though their website is quoting a cheaper rate
Online I found these : Worldwide Parcel Services £17.48, Parcel Monkey £17.99 & Parcel 2 Ship £19.55.
Does anybody else know a better deal please? Or any other suggestion? We're not bothered by the speed of delivery, just the cost need to be lower. Your expertise is much appreciated. Thank you
Those prices are the going rate - you might try https://www.transglobal.org.uk
but i wouldnt expect much saving. you will probably find you can send a lot more weight for not much more money so try and combine with something else if you can.
The last few questions have all been on a similar theme of is there something slower and cheaper. The only carrier i know who still offers sea shipping to faraway places for smaller loads is parcelforce and their sea rate booked direct is way more than you can get air shipping for from the resellers.
The rates for air shipping for the likes of us ordinary guys has never been cheaper thanks to the Parcel Monkeys, Interparcerls and others that have sprung up in the last few years - previous to that overseas parcels were really expensive. To get an idea of what you would have paid say 3 years ago go to parcelforce website and put in some weights and sizes and be prepared for a shock..0 -
Hi,
I see the UK Mail (Business Post that was) are being used by some of the courier resellers and wondered what they were like i.e. reliability customer service so on ? any feed back would be a great help as im very nervous about trying out a firm i don't have a clue about.
Thanks;)0 -

Hi
Don't know if you still need help on this but UK Mail/business post has always been one of the best for b2b, and for small packets probably the most competitive with one of the highest service levels.
However, they USED to be pretty poor at residential stuff. Because so much of their route/organisation was set up for just doing business deliveries, which were easier as between 9-5 there would always be someone there. The residential ones would just sometimes get missed off.
But, this was a couple of years back, and I guess that it they're offering out to the reseller market they should be more geared up for the inevitable problems that come with the residential stuff.
Thanks

DespatchBay is no longer competitive. 1.95 surcharge for less than 4 packages at once was the first blow. Now no ad-hoc same-day pickups is the final nail in the coffin. Any ex-Despatch Bay customers here? If so, who did you switch to?0

I'm still using them. :cool:They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0
