Hi All,
I've searched this thread but to no avail and need some help please. I sell a few bits on eBay to raise rescue funds and have sold an item that needs sending to 'Highlands & Islands'. I normally use Interparcel but they are quoting £15.99+VAT and I've only put £8.21 for P&P in the listing (the cost for my 'normal' UK deliveries).
Does anyone know of a reliable parcel service that delivers to H&I for nearer the £8.21 mark? I don't make much on the items I sell anyway and sending the parcel by Interparcel would wipe out anything we have made recently! The parcel is approx. 4kgs and measures 75x45x33 cms. Thanks.0 -

Hi, you could try My Hermes, I think they're super cheap for 3-5 days delivery, although signature on delivery etc is extra.0 -
Grrrr booked Parcelmonkey to deliver a parcel for me today and City Link havent turned up. bunch of cretins at City Link told me that they came to my house and I told them the parcel was not ready. Grrrr. I am going on holiday tomorrow. No idea what to do now. My ebay purchaser will not be happy. I am far from happy. City Link wouldnt even apologise they just accused me of lying.:A0

Parcel monkey are a load of monkeys they came today to collect the parcel they decided not to collect last week - If we hadn't spotted the van outside they wouldn't have collected. Went outside to see if it was them and the courier was walking off shouted at him excuse me are you here to collect he was like yeah but I thought you were closed - He didn't even attempt to open/ knock on door and must have missed the big open sign!! Just a white van man - what I don't understand is why drive all the way there and then not even knock the door????0

 Citylink can't even pick up their phones
Been in a 'queue' for 16 minutes so far (after giving up on previous 4 attempts) and I'm still 7th!!
Booked through Parcelmonkey before reading about other people's experiences on here - why are these businesses still trading?!
Sorry - rant over, I'll stick with Parcel2go in future!0 -
I can't fault them. I believe I have the best local driver in the country reading this lot. One or two also think it's helpful to use a company once and tell us how good they are.
I always have a look on the city link website using my tracking number to make sure it is booked for collection.
On the one occasion I was having a pick up from my son's. they blobbed. I just took it in to the depot.0 -

macfly - mine was booked for collection on the city link website, they still didnt turn up and the driver pretended that he had. I have used parcelmonkey twice, once they turned up on time, once they didnt. That is enough to put me off for good. Combined with the number of people with a similar exp on here.:A0 -

The phones were like this when I called and when they finally did answer, they didnt apologise or care - just referred me to parcelmonkey - their reputation is just as much on the line as parcel monkey if they were supposed to collect.:A0 -
That is a bad driver. Hardly the broker's fault though is it?
It doesn't matter to me who people use, and this thread can be an early warning of things going wrong. But two bookings? One fine and one where the driver mucks it up and lies. Not exactly in depth is it?0
