i got an email from o2 saying have 3 mths free - but i was wary of filling in details didnt know if the email was genuine or not so ive checked out here and rung o2

as as an exsisting payg customer already on there Broadband paying 7.34 a mth any way ive now got it at the 2.50 off a month for the next 12 mths so less then a fiver Till the VAT goes back up but then a fiver a month as long as i top up the payg a tenner every 3 mths -(which when i do i get 1000 mins a month from my home postcode)

and ive never had a problem so wasn't gonna change anyway

so ty all and thank you Martin and MSE :D

there will be people who say they could do better but im happy with my little bit of savings today

After all the problems i had with Primus, from billing being wrong, to guess the bill date, to being called a liar from their CS, O2 have billed on time, and anytime i have phoned their CS, it has been 100% better than Primus, so i had no problem signing up for another 12 months, to get 3 months free, and at just over £7 a month on LLU as well, and with having a phone package from BT, i am paying £7 less a month than what Primus was charging for phone and broadband combined. :j
Hi Steven, Remember me from our Primus horror days ? I too am with 02 and couldn't be happier. Free UK based Customer Service and top deal when my 1st 12 months finished - brilliant. Just hope they don't deteriorate.

i have been with O2 for my broadband for nearly 12 months (£7.34 /month for 16meg)
is there a need to renew the contract or does this just continue after the 12 months
what benifits are there in ringing them?
or what offers are there for existing costomers

No, your contract continues unless you cancel it. They are offering 3 months free to existing customers who take out a new 12m contract.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Hi Junior

My BB with o2 finishes on Jan 16 2010. Did you just phone to renew or you asked for a discount?

    Thanks

Fingers crossed, funny, i just read in the MSE email newsletter, that Primus is still getting recomended, seems to be that they have cheap line rental these days, still wouldn't go back to them even if the line rental was free!
