Just seen this thread ,coincidentally i phoned tonight regarding this as i seen their offer for new customers online .

I asked what was stopping me to cancel my contract as i had been with them more than a year & take advantage of the 3mths free offer ,i was told no need to do that & if i enter into a new 12mth contract they would give me 3mths free to which i agreed .
Gotta love a good bargain !

Maybe i need to phone and try again then, as the one i got on the phone last night offered nothing, not even after i asked about signing a new 12 month contract to get the 3 months free.

UPDATE - Just phoned again, and got someone that said "no problem", got thru' to another department, and signed a new 12 month contract with 3 months free, result!

After all the problems i had with Primus, from billing being wrong, to guess the bill date, to being called a liar from their CS, O2 have billed on time, and anytime i have phoned their CS, it has been 100% better than Primus, so i had no problem signing up for another 12 months, to get 3 months free, and at just over £7 a month on LLU as well, and with having a phone package from BT, i am paying £7 less a month than what Primus was charging for phone and broadband combined. :j

    Hi All

I am coming up to the end of my first year with 02 Broadband on the 20meg LLU package, has anyone received any good retention offers from 02?

    Thanks

Some people phone up and get great offers like bb for £2.50 or free for a year (usually people with high o2 contract mobiles)

Others phone up and get offered nothing

So it seems to be hit and miss :(

People have reported getting offered £2 off pm for 12 months, or a couple of free months.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

At the moment you could get 3 months free (the zero zilch offer) just by signing up for another 12 months, which can be done online by logging into your account :)

This offer is for new sign ups only, your contract does not cease after 12 months, it just reaches the end of the minimum term.
To re-qualify as a 'new' signup, you have to cease your service for (I think) 6 months.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
