This offer is for new sign ups only, your contract does not cease after 12 months, it just reaches the end of the minimum term.
To re-qualify as a 'new' signup, you have to cease your service for (I think) 6 months.
No it isn't, I just changed my package online, from old standard package to new standard package, I did of course have to agree to another 12 month contract & the updated terms and conditions, I didn't cease my service at all, the whole process was done seamlessly0 -
Did you do this with Topcashback, because there is £100 going on this offer too!0

No, not possible in my case, you'd have to be a totally new O2 customer in order to qualify for cashback, I only "updated" my contract in order to obtain the 3 months free.
Incidently if anyone is thinking of doing this please be aware that the current offer (Zero Zilch) ends on 31st October..
Happy surfing :beer:0 -
My free o2 standard package (Yaa FREE) is coming to end on January.
I have another contract phone with them and O2 offered another 12 months free on new number as part of upgrade. (applicable from january) I called them today to confirm if everything is ok on records (i.e. proper comments) I was told that once you have BB for 12 months on a number then you cannot have BB on same number with them for 6 months.
I was about to cancel my mobile phone contract. but looks like people have done it (extending against same mobile phone)
Can you please confirm
Thanks0 -
do you have to have a contract o2 phone to be a existing customer or a pay as you go?0

You can get the same broadband discounts with O2 whether you are contract or PAYG (on PAYG it is subject to a minimum £10 top up every 3 months). However, what jswaminathanuk is referring to is presumably a one off free broadband arrangement based on a high value contract mobile deal? This isn't a publicly advertised option, so would be interested to know the details. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
my cousin phoned and got a £2.50 p/m discount0

Hi,
Ive been with O2 for over a year now and I'm really happy with them - good speeds (4mb) and unlimited downloads.
They phoned me this evening asking me to renew for another 12 months, if they give me 3 months for free. All terms are the same, same price (£12.50 ish) etc etc.
I'd be unlikely to change even if someone else was cheaper, better the devil you know and all that, so I accepted, and have 14 days to reconsider.
Call me cynical, but is there anything I should know that they aren't letting on?
Thanks0 -
Do you have a mobile phone? if so and you can change it to O2 you could save an extra £5 per month.0

Thanks for that.
No I don't (at least I do but it's never switched on). Which is ironic considering I develop software for them!0
