For people still waiting there is a freephone number 0800 30 90 80, but I've just been told that the Warehouse is closed until Tuesday, so there'll be no further info til next week.

I was lucky and got the 329 version. Am I being particulrly stoopid? Should there be a restore disc or XP disc or do you need to create one , and if so how??

You need to create one, follow the instructions when you start up your PC and insert a blank CD when required.

    Didn't spot that bit!

I'm not in the market anyway, after ebay buying a brand new Sempron 3100+ system with 250GB HD/DVDRW/512/256 Radeon and wireless mouse/keyboard for £120 delivered <G>

    Did everyone get theirs?
Ive been using it for a week now and it is very good, Very quiet and so much faster than my previous 800 duron!
It seems to also handle mutli tasking well, left it downloading a file, running a virus check and playing unreal 2004 without a glitch.
The inside is very restrictive though, with short leads, lack of power sockets, no parallel or serial ports. Tried to add another sata drive but need to buy a long cable due to there not being one and the location of the drive.

Still on the look out for a graphics card. Torn between 7900gt or 7600gt. Cant decide wether to fork out a bit more for the 7900gt and then thats it or spend less and upgrade again later.
    Anyone upgraded yet?

Still waiting for Bt shop to get back to me. i orderd on the 20th may when it was just posted on the forums, and in stock! they rang me last week and said there was a problem with the pc's and offered me an alternative HP machine. aparently this was supposed to turn up yesterday. and it diddnt. i have phoned them three times and get the "i'm sorry we will call you back when we know whats going on in the warehouse blah blah" speach. I'm VERY fed up with these people!

They said they will call me today, so i will let you know what happens.

  • BT shop have finally contacted me to say that the 5100 is out of stock and they are happy to offer an alternative of the 3100 which is conincidentally the one they sent me in error they haven't said at what price though i believe is was substantially cheaper than the 5100 anyway they listed the specs for comparison can anyone advise me if it is good deal
