Northernlas - thanks ever so much for the fridge, its brilliant and just the right size. Haven't tried it on 'warm' yet, but may give that a go later.

KC and macgirl - I have a sneaking feeling that even when I don't need to, I will still keep a check on my spending 'just in case'


We didn't get the tree yesterday, as when I went to wake DS up, as requested, there was a note on his laptop - "DON'T WAKE ME, I'VE GOT TO GO TO WORK TONIGHT".

Bah, just lost a post..

DS sent me a text asking me to get the rest of the Christmas stuff down, err ..pardon?? They are in a big box on top of my wardrobe, he's over six foot, he can get them down himself. He wants to 'do Christmas', so is going to put some of the stuff out. He's already opened my new battery operated lights and put them over the 'arty twigs' that someone bought me. He says they look good. We'll see

As I posted on macgirls diary, I've brought my cards with me to write, so feeling virtuous. Some people may actually get them before Christmas.

Just popping back because I read something on hypno's thread that reminded me of something else.
Was on the way to work this morning and they said that around 20m people watched X factor - I wasn't one of them. They played a clip of the winning song, and my first thought - " If that one won, I'm glad I never heard the rest of them"

What macgirl said! i.e., what you said! I could only have watched it on download this year, but I'm glad I didn't try - I quite like being without a tv, in spite of just posting on my thread about sitting down to watch the news .... love the image of *you* getting the Christmas stuff down for *DS*

Amber is so lovely. The one piece of decent jewellery I ever bought myself was a big amber brooch, very simple, very classic (which I crafted on for a while, turned it into a Rangers sigil a la Babylon 5 ).

Anyway - hope you enjoy the crafting!
