I hope that yesterday went smoothly.

On the shoes front, I'm another one like SH who would buy more than one of something if it was comfortable or just right. Though sometimes in a different colour.
  • Thanks all for your thoughts.

Enjoyed meeting DT on Tuesday (was it Tuesday?)

Since Thursday I have been absolutely exhausted, beyond tired; and stringing coherent sentences together was altogether beyond me.

It was obviously a very emotional day, on many levels but was very proud of our *boys* who were bearers. This is not something that was expected of them, but something my DS asked could he do, and the others wanted to do it too.

I think we managed to get the balance right; there is not a great deal of flexibility in a R.C service, as many will know, but the service was beautiful and I'm sure she would have liked it. She would also have loved seeing the people who came to the service, including the current and previous Lord Mayor of Liverpool.

Yesterday was a *really* bad day, as its the anniversary of Dad's death; today is his birthday. So I was a complete wreck for most of yesterday, went to meet sister for a coffee, and we stayed for 3 hours as neither of us wanted to move.

For those of you interested in music, this is the music we had to exit the church. My brother found it and it hit exactly the right note. It is called Sleep by Eric Whitacre.
