Getting out of my comfort zone

The fridge not only cools to between 5-10, but also can heat to 50-60 to keep food warm! I holds 9 33ml cans (don't worry, it is in the instruction book, I haven't tried
)
Paid £7.50 as there is now no staff discount. Have PM'd my phone no. so we can arrange drop off.0 -
Good morning, yawn .... I know that feeling. I've just been fitting the batteries to an LED light for under the eye level kitchen cabinets. Hey ho. Hope the drive goes well.
The drive this morning was a little bit tense to say the least. Why do people not take weather conditions into account? I left extra early, there was freezing fog, and visibility was poor, but some people still drove at normal speeds on small country roads, which have blind spots in good weather. At one point going through a small village there was a car in front going very cautiously, even by my standards, but I kept behind and waited (and hoped) that they'd turn off at the school - they did! But the car behind me kept edging out, trying to get past; in the end I pulled over and let them go.
NorthernLas have replied to pm.
I'm a happy bunny; checked into hotel and have a different room. Normally get the same room each time, pretty basic, but ok for what I need; this time I've got one of the upgraded rooms and it has freeview! So that means that I can at least listen to the match on the radio. And have a choice of more than 5 channels. :TDebts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

morning,
didn't bother going out last night, had already had HM chilli for lunch, so just had soup. It was -9 according to the car. So that was really a NSD,will see what I can do today, although only actually have £5.65 in cash, so that limits me a bit. May leave car in hotel and walk to work, its less than a mile.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Ooh, the upgrade is good - we like upgrades
- 9!!! I haven't been checking - erm, I don't have a thermometer - but I'm watching the detailed forecasts - according to them, even the daytime temp didn't get above freezing. Horrible!
Scary when people don't pay proper attention to driving conditions - and yes, at less than a mile to walk, I'd walk it too... hope its all going well today.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Have had a rotten day.
Long story short, part of my job was to project plan some system changes, which I did, however there was a big unknown in there, which was the availability of someone from the software supplier. I put an extra few weeks on, just in case. Now they are seriously mucking me/us about, and the company are starting to make noises about it costing them money - ie. they're paying me, but there's nothing I can do until supplier pulls their finger out. Emails flying all over the place but no joy.
Just worried about the effect on my contract, I'm trying to do all I can, and bring other things forward, but there's a limit.
And to top it all, the manager at the other job hasn't approved my last timesheet so I'll miss the payroll deadline.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

It doesn't rain but it pours as they say.
Mum has just been on the phone, in tears. The son of her next door neighbour has been really good to her, doing bits of shopping etc. On Saturday there was an ambulance in the close and she hadn't seen him for a while. Turns out he was rushed to hospital and suffered complete organ failure. They have just turned off the life support.
He used to be serious drug user, but has been clean for over 7 years, but the damage had already been done.
And I can't get to her.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Oh gilly, sorry to hear that.
It must be so hard for you not to be able to be there for your mum when your first instinct is to go to her.
Sorry to hear about your bad day at work as well. *hugs*Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £10,546, Car loan CC 0% BT £5200. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
My sympathies and a big hug from me too! Hope your pay gets sorted too and that your mum is ok.
This weather is a nightmare too isn't it - we are in a lovely cul-de-sac with those lovely ice magnet red pavers/bricks or whatever they called! So skate rink. OH is nicking my car and dropping me at work at the mo! Heard weather may improve Friday? Here's hoping!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Morning
yes I know its silly o'clock but not quite as silly as when I first woke up.
Why can't I sleep properly? Went out for a walk last night but didn't bother getting anything to eat, not really hungry enough to spend money on food.
Went to Mr A though, and got some teabags with a free monkey - thats going in DS stocking!
I've also ordered his Christmas present, cheapest price was John Lewis, but they were out of stock, Curry's was only a couple of quid dearer, but you can collect in store. So only need to get the bits and bobs.
Mum is sorted, nephews get cash, so only sister and friends and they like hand made stuff, so am doing bath salts at the weekend. Using a kit I bought using a voucher I was given:D
So, if they announce that Christmas is this weekend, apart from food, I'm OK.
This is the first year for ages I haven't done the school Christmas 'fayre' with little cards etc. but haven't had the time to make enough.
